Thats why I bought HW, DK TF and Smash right on day one, I knew that waiting means not saving :D
I think games get too cheap too soon on other platforms. I mean Evil Within 25$ new at amazon, Alien Isolation under 40, I remember times when games where half price after one month etc. People worked their assets off (pun) to create those huge games, only to find them at half price 4 weeks later, thats really discounting the effort and energy put into these games. Games are not too xpnsive, movie theaters are. And cars.
Having played through Uncharted 1-3, this one will be a purchase for me in like two or three years when its cheaper. Except for U1, to me those games dragged along with repetitive gameplay and rather naive ingame story elements, especially two felt like move to next location, climb, shoot, rinse, repeat. A new hair dynamics model doesnt make me wanna go through all that again. Also, I never liked the palette or art style, I guess I need something more artistically creative. Maybe we will get ...
Well, its a *graphic adventure*. I am sure You still can play Resident Evil in original PS 1 outfit, but its much prettier and more dense in the Gc remake version, and probably in the new remake, too. Blocky graphics are blocky graphics.
I cant express how bad this looks. I cant believe they really just uprezzed the static backdrops, no real 3D except for Manny and friends. Sad, sad, sad. Makes me wonder about the DOTT remake.
Never touched anything but demos from TElltale, and they never made want to actually buy a game. I think the artwork is too rough, arbitrary, generic, and the handling is bad. Might be the TT derivative of a franchise is the new Lego-whatever, but I dont like. I dont like the new Kings Quest either :D Those games just dont look good enough for me to spend hours staring at those environments. Trine looks fantastic, these dont.
The sad thing to me is that MS had to drop Kinect and the price. Across all platforms it seems customers dont really get this generation. It required tremendous investments to develop either console, and so far it looks xbone and ps4 are offered at lower prices than their predecessors just to find customers. Thats a bit disappointing for new hardware with advanced capabilities. So in the end, is it all about the price, still, really ?
Agreed, game doesnt look spectacular on these screens. Materials look unrealistic, faces look bland.
I wasnt waiting for that game, but I am happy some reviewers consider the gfx "more close to the PS4" than last gen :D
This "news" is so clickbait. Its spot number 14, where does it say how many copies that are !?
Darksiders 2 didnt allow for screenshots either.
Bullshots.
I have played bith AC 3 and 4 on the Wii U, and they didnt feel worse than 360 or PS3.
Darksiders 2 made more sense on Wii U because of the gamepad, as did ME3 and Deus Ex.
I wouldnt call them shovelware, like I wouldnt call Kingdoms of Amalur that way because it lacks fullscreen blooming completely on PS3 which makes it less moody.
Is this game like Bayonetta 2 ?
I dont see Sony stopping PS3 production before 2017.
The hardware is still capable, the games are still top notch, sales are brilliant.
On the bright side: there are many third party teams that arent slaves to Ubi or EA or Activision, like Capcom, Team Ninja, High Voltage Games, maybe even Kojima, but I think he is too cool for a Nintendo cinsole.
Ya know, its one thing to make the jump to HD in 2012, but its obvious they made something wrong. The biggest change going from SD to HD is the graphics, and even 2010 there were PCs available that could be used to mimic the Wii U final polygon pushing power, so Nintendo was either stupid or lazy. Its not like Wii u had been developed for six months and then suddenly was released. They had this developing for 5 years, so I dont buy that "we needed time to really understand HD development...
Folks, what I was talking about wasnt the momentary decrease in Nintendo's race to the bottom, but the fact that Mario Kart and Mario 3D World sold badly on Wii U compared to their respective predecessors makes me worry. I mean despite these awesome games we have now on the U, it sells just a fourth of what the Xbone with its comparatively thin line up. The U sells less than the Cube ! And I dont think its the price tag ! But I also cant believe those 14 million PS4s went to graphic enth...
The elephant in the room asks: is this a sign that the kind of games the Wii U offers isnt in demand anymore ? Does Nintendo lack the instinct to develop games for people who love GTA5', Destiny or Skylanders ? Are the Nintendo characters not appealing enough anymore ? Its interesting, Neither Ms nor Sony have such a broad palette of character focused games, basically every Nintendo game is about a character like Mario or Zelda. Ms has mature heroes like Halo and Gears of War, Sony has Na...
Sony has a technically superior product, but they cant afford losses, while MS can pour more money into pushing the product. Clearly, the consumer doesnt really know or care about 1080p@60fps, so this is pretty irrelevant. What counts is the exclusives and the price, also the shift or stability of target audience, and the price of the software. The longer You wait the cheaper the games, cause the big fat majority are not hard core gamers, so they dont NEED a game, they can wait. Nintendo hold...
