The more I read Your experiences, folks, the more I zhink that story is indeed important in sich a character driven game. So it would probably have been wise for Kojima to not make a 180 vs MGs4 but rather develop it into some sort of Skyrim experience ? With main quests and subquests etc ? I wonder what the philosophy was behind this design idea. Isnt Just Cause similiar or does it offer more story ?
Complete revamp is not needed, I think there is a difference between corneria and that desert planet, and yes, I think they can do some more polishing for 2 months now, then release it in january or february.

Its the future folks, nothing is gonna stop it. Publishers dont want You to own the games, and let You resell them, they want You to pay for the licence to use them, thats all. Besides, who says they dont come up with creative ways to make games streamable, split in parts etc, so You just have to download what You play ? I hate it how in europe when You rent a movie on the PSN or amazon, You have 48 hours realtime to watch it. They should let You watch it til the end at Your own pacing.
See, there are actually people with a life and jobs and family out there, who could in theory start the download in the morning, and when they get back home, the game is there ! Sounds crazy, right ?
Heck, I just used the adapter I bought for the Wii in 2007, works flawlessly with the Wii U. But true, a console without this built in is a bit meh.Its 2015.
I worked with the Oculus since dev kit one, in both academic and professional environments, both for movielike experiences, medical visualisation and games, and I think this tech has a looong way to go to appeal to anybody but the hardcore users. It has its purpose in science and reseach, but it isnt viable for mass market. And if its not viable for mass market, its gonna go the way of the kinect.
Everybody complaining about not reaching 1080p/60fps on standard games will probably be in a shock: these consoles cant produce that resolution TWICE at 30fps while keeping some sort of visual fidelity. Lets wait for next gen. Hard to read text, blurry textures, no thanks, plus nausea after 20 minutes.And all that fun for 200 bucks :)
When did games become developed by one person ? There is a team of gamedesigners, artists and coders behind this hit, and come on, Kojima had 20 years time to develop the ultimate MGS. Its a result of hard work, experience and tons of money, not genious.
Such talented artists, yet Han doesnt look like Han. Leia and Palpatine look fine, though.
