True, Bungie has really turned things around this generation, the few months they will have before launch can be put to bug fixing, polishing, etc.

I don't think he is saying the game is bad, from the last paragraph it seems like he really enjoyed it and even congratulated Naughty Dog on recreating a movie type experience. His problems seem to be with minor plot holes.

No game is ever perfect, a game will always have minor imperfections which may ruin things for you. Be it trying to ride the Pelican in Halo: Combat Evolved back to base only to have your character die in oblivion, or even the scenario this guy is talking ab...

Blaze929: There portfolio makes it seem like they may just make casual titles, that developer also makes Carnival Games so perhaps that is what they are doing for the 360 with Natal?

With the Wii those who made such games found early success, they aren't finding as much now in comparison. The same thing might happen here which is why such developers/publishers are taking the casual route.

young juice: Natal was demoed at E3, to members of the press (also at E3, IGN even has a few previews up), on Jimmy Fallon, etc also consider that developers had dev kits for Natal around E3.

That being said, I think Natal has more to prove than Sony's Wand controller. People know how the Wand will generally work and what it is capable of, Natal on the other hand is new to a certain extent with a uphill battle to fight many myths about such technology.

Notsosilentbob: Are you kidding me? MSNBC has been around a lot longer than the Xbox has been around. Even then, they have put out their fair share of negative and positive Microsoft articles.

Enough with all these tinfoil hat conspiracies already N4G!

No one expected Indigo Prophecy to do well but it did better than what Quantic and Atari expected. Heavy Rain follows a similar structure and has some pretty nice backing behind it. Unless the game completely bombs with reviews I don't see it failing.

Regardless, I've bought every Quantic Dream game dating back to Omikron on the Dreamcast and Heavy Rain will be no different.

The first sequel was called Exodus and later Karma but it was canceled IIRC, I think a few screens and stuff were leaked.

MrJackOfAllTrades: So because I ask a completely logical question I am suddenly a fanboy?

Since you claim to be a master of such logic, please explain how this is Microsoft's fault and not anyone elses?

Where is your proof that Microsoft is responsible for this and not Square Enix?

If you're paying $60 a year for a service that only costs $50 you might want to rethink those buying decisions.

GFWL is essentially Xbox Live on the PC and that is free, so is the Zune thing which is also just Xbox Live but geared towards movies and music (your XBL friends list is cross compatible with Zune).

I've always seen the possibilities of this happening! Imagine the Bioshock pipe game, when your out on the go you play it on your Zune, Windows Mobile phone, etc for 5 rounds. After you're done you sync it up to the Live servers, maybe even get a few achievements for it. Later you start playing Bioshock on your 360 and are credited the 5 wins/losses, etc!

Good, these old things deserve to be preserved so future generations can look back at them, not just for gaming related purposes but as a cool technological and historical one too.

3D Realms is still alive, they just only have one or two people working there, the development team was laid off. Now 3D Realms is basically going to working on licensing similar to how they made Prey, Max Payne, etc.

That or it could be just another "N.A.R.C.". =/

Prey is an awesome game, I remember playing the hell out of the game back in the day, lost my copy of it so I might pick it up again on Games on Demand. I wouldn't say just 360 owners "forgot", it's also pretty niche on the PC community now as well.

The game touched on some very controversial issues, at least controversial ones in North America about Native Americans, life on the reserves, tradition, values, "old vs. new", etc.

3D Realms has a...

Maybe that is why it was being used? The mods were already in place and with a few modifications to the code they could get a proof of concept going? Would also work across all Source Engine games with little modifications.

So your controller is now rendered useless? You can't use it to play any games new or old? The only way to play a game now is Natal?

I don't see how much can be taken from this universe to make a next gen game out of. Perhaps just a graphical update or something of the sort for a XBLA/PSN release?

Who took it away?

Saving Private Ryan a epic story? Hardly, the only thing worth watching in that movie is the opening sequence, the rest of the movie is garbage!

How about better war storylines like that seen in Band of Brothers, All Quiet on the Western Front, The Forgotten Soldier, Das Boot, Flags of our Fathers, etc?

It really won't take much to make a COD game "story heavy" since the storylines are usually so ridiculous! With most COD games it's like your witnessing...
