It's ridiculous to think Square will be supporting any console for life because one of their games sold well on it. We wouldn't even have a Square Enix or Final Fantasy franchise if it wasn't for the NES and Final Fantasy since Square was on the verge of bankruptcy and had enough money for only 1 more game (hence the name Final Fantasy). The game was a hit and saved Square yet Nintendo systems haven't gotten some "lovin" from them for a while now.
Most likely any other company would send you a cease and desist if your claims were super outrageous and making a very negative impact on the company.
The guy with the fanny pack is the petition dude, the guy with the crowbar is a Valve employee apparently.
They obviously staled this guy, put a paper bag over his head, beat him up KGB style, and are making him pose with his official "apology". Why else do you think Gabe is sweating and that brown guy is holding that crow bar trophy?
*It was a joke, don't worry* ;p
Today is the 10th anniversary of the Sega Dreamcast in North America, really a odd and unique case, it's just the system every seems to love but no one bought.
Yes you should, you will have a amazing library of games to play including the many imports released. Not to mention the titles currently being produced for the console and the various legal homebrew titles available.
You aren't doing your Dreamcast any favors with pirated games,

Game are still being released for the console, even Sega of Japan has released a few games in the past and are rumored to be working on a eventual port of Dynamite Cop 3 and a bunch of SHUMPs. Sega of Japan also sold Dreamcast's at one point in 2006 IIRC and Sega of America was affiliated with Sega Parts which sells Dreamcast's and games.
Sega of Europe still hosts some servers for Dreamcast games but most of them went offline in 2006/2007.
Very few systems can ...
I found my copy of Mortal Kombat Gold recently, unfortunately it was the buggy Gold tint release and not the purple one! :(
Phantasy Star was great and truly a pioneering game, the Dreamcast needed more RPG games like that and less traditional JRPG's.
I agree, the Dreamcast did much that gamers of today take for granted, I guess the gift of appreciating comes with being a old gamer. :p
The Dreamcast didn't die, it survived!
I never said anything good about what Turn 10 did during that poll either. Why do people try painting me as a fanboy? I'm one of the most neutral people on this site!
"Best'a luck"...are you kidding me? You do realize if they win or settle out of court it will give other people reasons to sue if their game crashes on them? Should PC gamers begin to sue developers when their games crash or barely run as advertised even if they meet the specifications?
This could be anyone, be it Sony, Nintendo, Sega, Atari, etc, it would be a huge blow to gaming and simply open the flood gates. Millions of copies and systems beg to differ with these...
The Dreamcast was capable of rendering 480p like all other 6th gen consoles. I wouldn't put it past these Indie Devs to be able to do something like that as well.
Piracy did play a role, no one was buying games for the system, very few Dreamcast games broke 1 million units and with numbers like that Piracy definietly plays some what of a impactful role.
Peter Moore/Sega of America did not kill the Dreamcast, Sega of Japan merely used them as the "fall guys". Peter Moore and a few other SEGA employees have been pretty vocal about it. More recently,

The glory of statistics I'm afraid.
I've checked Walmart, EB Games, The Source, etc and they are still selling the Age of Empires III Gold collection (which includes III and War Chiefs) for $40 so $50 isn't that bad.
I doubt this will stop the game from selling 1 million copies hours after release.
