It was supposed to be a $40 expansion, not $30.
It's dubbed the "Complete Multiplayer Experience", Halo 2 also had something similar which was just a disc with all the maps on it, some documentaries, movies, etc at retail for $30-40 IIRC. ODST given the change of pace in a sense can also appeal to a new audience who may not have picked up Halo before, you shouldn't just ignore your potential audience like that, besides it's packed in on a separate disc, keep it if you...
Those don't look like man hands, plus those nails were way too organized, clean, etc, maybe it was someone else?
That's exactly what I was saying, games like Bioshock are a short experience with no multiplayer yet people didn't mind paying full price for that. Among other things Halo 3: ODST has that plus the complete multiplayer.
Just for reference, on the original Xbox, the Halo 2 Complete Multiplayer map was what between $20-40 at release?
I'm not really "in love" with Halo, I definietly like the series but no where near a fan like other people are.
In my opinion, I personally would give it at least a 9 but great review! I had a lot of fun with the campaign, Firefight mode was a great addition that keeps bringing me back, I still have to try the new multiplayer maps! :p
Misleading title since the article only talks about Amazon!
Not exactly, alternatives did exist, just because they were not widely known does not mean they are obsolete. Apple had a really small marketshare to begin with at that time so the impact would have been minimal.
So you're essentially judging your own score based solely on the multiplayer demo as it is the only thing you played? Even than, are other people not allowed to have different opinions?
MetaCritic is hesitant to add non English sites to their database, even then, the requirements to join MetaCritic are pretty high, you need over 300 reviews in your database, a certain number of reviews per platform, etc.
A 9 is a great score, what's wrong with it?
Morganfell: Have you played through and completed the entire game? If not, how can you criticize the score for a unreleased game?
Don't get me wrong, I think U2 is going to be amazing, I just don't understand the logic.
It wasn't just DVD that they had an issue with, the 360's lack of a HDD was a issue and the PS3's ram an something else (which escapes me atm) were heavily criticized by Rockstar during GTA IV's development.
95 was amazing back in the day, the best OS on the market back in it's day, Windows 98 SE was the one to get since it fixed all the 98 issues, it was so popular among consumes that Microsoft just recently stopped supporting it. ME was a disaster, XP was great, Vista got off to a rocky start but it's pretty good now, 7 is going to be amazing!
There is and was a ton of competition, Microsoft was the underdog, they didn't get 90% marketshare overnight. Linux alone has so many var...
Funny, Apple was on the verge of shutting down a few years ago until Microsoft bailed them out, Apple is lucky the iPod took off enough for them to get some support behind Mac's again or else Apple would have been R.I.P. years ago.
There is an excellent category here on N4G called "Tech", also, Windows 7 and PC gaming is pretty significant.
Using your logic every PS3 game should be 1080p or at least HD (720p), storage space plays a minimal role for HD gaming in the grand scheme of things, it all depends on your engine. What could are 1080p textures on your disc if your engine slows to a crawl trying to process them?
Regarding Ninja Gaiden 2, it was clear weeks before launch when Itagaki left that the game would have had issues, hell he was public about essentially leaving the game in an alpha phase before he and ...
You guys and this site also realize car companies limit how much you can damage their cars right? That's why games like Burnout can't have Ford, Toyota, etc, because those companies don't want you destroying their cars.
I haven't experienced any roll overs in Forza 3 yet, from the video I see, perhaps it flips back over to put you back in the race?
This VG Arabia site produces nothing but flamebait and garbage, I'm surprised they are still allowed to post on N4G...
Hmm, well at least he attempts to back up his statement with some sort of logical conclusion... I guess?
Ubisoft Montreal, you mean the same people behind Splinter Cell, Assassins Creed, Prince of Persia, Shaun White, Far Cry, etc, the series that have sold millions of copies each? One of the largest Ubisoft subsidiaries and a influential and respected developer in Canada.
Yea, what the hell have they done anyway? How dare they talk about their game so positively!
I loved those Segata Sanshiro commercials, best mascot/ad campaign EVER! In the finale version isn't there a cut where the dude with a missile is standing on top of the Sony building?
I presented my points in a coherent and sane manner, feel free to have a different opinion if you like but to resort to name calling if you simply are unable to think of a proper response or unwilling to change your own is child like.
