It's been a LONG while since I've played a Backyard game, hope it does well for Atari though since they need the cash.
I found that as well during the deo, especially for the hud, differentiating between ally and enemy at first was a bit difficult.
SouthPeak really doesn't market their games well so I think it will probably go unnoticed.
The multiplayer will be the draw in this game, the dedicated server system they setup for Xbox 360 players on paper seems pretty cool, if it works well I hope others adopt it for their games.
Are you saying the Ninja Theory devs are incapable doing their own engine or even modifying an existing one? Batman: Arkham Asylum ran on the Unreal 3 engine and that looked really good, possibly the best looking Unreal 3 game to date.
Firstly, this guy does realize the MMA style originated from the ancient style of the Greeks and such at the Olympics and everything...right? So comparing it to gaming like he did isn't very good because of the obvious age differences.
Secondly, he seems like a nice guy and all, especially in comparison to other MLG players but I think he is overvaluing things just a little bit in terms of sponserships.
You guys do realize Turbo controls have existed for quite some time and still do exist on consoles today right? Not just the Xbox 360 mind you but all consoles.
This man is a legend, his performance in Halo and The Thing still amaze me to this day!
Microsoft was given prototype HD DVD drives by Toshiba in early/mid 2005, if they really wanted to they could have gotten it to work with little to no delay. If the reports of Microsoft making a profit at launch are true then they would suffer a very small loss or a very small profit.
In the long run lets assume with the HD DVD drive the system was still sold at roughly the same price, HD DVD would have obviously done better and Microsoft profited more in the long run thanks t...
Fallout 3 wasn't even as deep as Oblivion, the shooting mechanics aren't very good unless in V.A.T.S., the horrendous tunnel system, the dumb A.I., etc. And how about the fact that you can't start rebuilding towns in Fallout 3 by hiring people and such to protect and populate them? You could do that in Oblivion afterall with the Mage's Tower, Pirate Cove, Castle, etc.
Oblivion wasn't great but it was better than Fallout 3 in my opinion.
I see the points they are trying to make, but it seems right now only the PS3 owners are complaining because it [late games] happens to them the most. If similar things started to happen to the Xbox 360 on a steady basis I'm sure they would say the same.
It's not like the PC where you get the automatic joys of running the game at 1 million FPS at a 10k resolution so "DLC" is the only thing publishers and developers can do to try and spur sales.
Natal has its own processor and such so I don't think appeasing developers would be very hard.
If the PS3 didn't have these restrictions before, why would it hurt them when the competition doesn't have them anymore
Not bringing them back in at least 1 form would have been the death blow for the series among classic Splinter Cell fans.
Aha this guy is awesome, I always love his commentary.
I haven't had much time with 3.0 but I haven't come across those glitches (yet?). Also, Treyarch is doing Modern Warfare on the Wii.
I'm getting it for Xbox 360 first and at a later point for PC.
I'd try finding a Pro SKU, it's only $50 more and comes with HD cables, HDD, etc.
