“Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish.” ― Euripides, Bacchae

This can be said for any piece of news, yet some interest us while others don't. Though you may not find this interesting, others might, including the author. And that in itself is as good enough reason for this article to exist, for if we reported news/rumors that only a select group would be interested in, then it wouldn't really be news at all would it?

Did I satisfy your question? ;)

I'd love to see that work with Surgeon Simulator.... just saying.

Some people don't hold such a focus on money. I can't talk for Miyamoto, but it's very possible that he isn't still with Nintendo now'a'days to make more money. The man has created some of the most iconic characters in the world, one of which is more readily recognized than Mickey Mouse.

If you notice, Miyamoto is kinda retired. He makes games that he feels like making, which oftentimes are not even big name titles like Pikmin, and serves as a kind of ...

When one attacks a person's character it falls within the "ad hominum" fallacy. As many of us know, committing fallacies will only serve to make those who will recognize them turn away from our argument, not growing but instead staying in our perceived idea of ignorance.

Completely shutting out his voice because of what he believes, claiming that it is simply "old rhetoric" and proceeding to call him a moron only makes him, as well as others, see you ...

I would say that it's fine. It flows off the tongue exceedingly well. It's a title that delivers the point of the article while grabbing some interest without going so far as to be tabloid-like. I would much prefer this title over "Take a look at this huge Star Citizen download size!"

Looks quite good in my opinion. I'm excited about the possibilities the trackpads will offer, and its good to see they put an analogue on there as well

Malicious intent is in the eyes of the beholder. Anyone can easily find things to support their claim as they so often do. Which is why we should avoid believing that we are the penultimate voice of reason.

people will always have reasons for disliking companies/products, such as my disagreement with Sony stems from their, in my opinion, dishonorable business practices at the 2012 E3 where they dedicated their panel to attacking the controversi...

I saw an article from Kotaku a few days ago theorizing that the low stock isn't intentional and is instead a result of the west coast being shut down because of the harbor union protests. As the article pointed out, it would explain why Europe and Japan were able to have a healthy supply available on launch. Nintendo refused to respond. If true, I guess that's the drawback to having everything made in China :/

The Wii U is sold at a profit and Nintendo games sell for a good long while. Though it's a shame it isn't selling that well, Nintendo is still benefiting regardless. Your points on online gaming I understand but the advertising is Nintendo of America's fault, Japan has a lot of advertising for their products. Both first and 3rd party-wise.

I kind of have Bethesda noted in my mind as that one company that makes good games but has a law team that will jump at any opportunity to shut other projects down for sharing a single word. Mojang's Scrolls all over again....

love 'em or hate 'em, some pretty cool stuff has come out of the Amiibos' existance. I absolutely love Paper Mario, and hopefully some day Miyamoto will make one on par with thousand year door.

Though I see where you're coming from, I respectfully disagree. I feel that the more colorful, cheerful look actually plays a large part in adding to the doom and gloom.

If we were to look at it from in-universe, The clock town/settlements weren't constructed with this impending disaster in mind; Clock Town is preparing for a large festival after all. The time is supposed to be happy and cheerful but there is this ubiquitous dread that slowly but surely engulfs the m...

At times I wonder if some of these factory defects are purposeful. I mean, I'm sure the first few weren't but seeing how much of a sought after product these unique models are, and how extreme some of the more recent defects are, Nintendo just makes them to maintain hype. most likely not, but there it is ;)

trolling bans are a touchy thing aren't they? There isn't really any way to prove that someone is a troll unless they say they are. they could just naturally be a heavily disagreeable person, which doesn't apply to this case, just in general. Which is why I feel bans on said grounds aren't right. It can border on censorship, and often does, such as with incidents like the War Z game awhile back, seeing how much of a grey area it is.

probably three reasons: Scalpers, nostalgia, and coolness factor. It's definitely one of the best limited edition arts I've seen for the system. plus, seeing how there is a reasonably strong dichotomy between this and OOT being the best Zelda, there is a large fandom for it.

all that being said: I want it so much! :)

The pro controller really is a great controller, extremely comfortable, good weight, and as you said good battery life, but I feel that it may long hold that stigma of seemingly being a 360 clone, as was often said among unboxings and such.

I would personally prefer to see the GameCube controller to continue as the focus. Those battle pads that are being made are a nice step in the right direction in my humble opinion, but it can certainly use even more work, as with any cont...

@mikeslemonade

I see you throw that around a lot. "Nintendo Apologists." Fundalmentaly I feel that it is rather flawed to assume that anyone who shares a differing view of something is just denying the truth. Truth has nothing to do with it really.

You, as well as benqmagician, have the opinion that the Wii u gamepad is rather poor. I disagree, I greatly enjoy it, but that's the thing. Neither of us are correct in our views. Such things are pure...

I'm sure you mean their successors :) though I do like Nintendo Innovation, despite all its perceived gimmicks, I feel that the "Nintendo Power" is due to return. The problem though is that the last time they went with power first, the gamecube was made, and despite some fantastic games, and a great controller, it only sold 20 million units.
