It would be lovely to have a Zelda Maker, though it would probably be a dungeon builder, omitting the overworld. A Pokemon Maker would be less likely as the creation of an entire gameworld, especially for an RPG, would take a good bit of time, and poses a challenge with things such as leveling curve and file size.
That's useful. I like the cartoon Mario hand, it doesn't take up half the screen for when people are watching.
There's also no reason why Link should have to be female. I believe equality to be moving forward equally, if you focus on a group and try to bring them up, that discrimination, as one group has more focus than another. It's one of those things where people say the ends justify the means, but it's too heavily influenced by extremism and stereotypes.
I am quite certain that people are fine with more female protagonists in games, just please don't shohorn them i...
Fantastic news, though the Wii U isn't selling well, it would seem that there is a large install base, for Nintendo titles at least, since software sells exceed hardware by nearly 10x. then the 3DS has a near 8x install rate. pretty good overall.
@godmars290
It actually is a thing, look up the Alcubierre Drive. Last I've checked NASA is experimenting with it.
It's important to remember that publically funded games are just that, backed by fans. When a developer tries to get private investors, they aren't showing a fan ready build, they'll doing exactly what kickstarter does, they explain their vision and maybe show an extremely early build to drive home the point of what they're trying to accomplish. Many people look at the development times for kickstarter games with a gamer perspective, where especially now'a'days, the ga...
....sigh. I hate it when developers do this. having so much blind faith in their product that they aren't even able to take criticism for what it is, instead jumping to the conclusion that it's the critics' fault for not understanding their vision. The problem is though, if you have to explain your vision, there's something wrong, the game should be able to explain that itself.
I adore stylized games. They can capture so much of the imagination without feeling too intrusive. I'll have to keep my eye on this.
Rest in peace Mr. Iwata. I hope his friends and family may find solace. He was a very respectful man and his loss is hard for the entire industry.
I maintain a mindset that if you are playing a game out of enjoyment, and not because of the content matter, then it needs not classification as being "kiddy" or "mature". Simply by enjoying a game for what it is, I feel, is able to indicate maturity on the part of the player, as they are not concerned with a superficial status invoked by whatever letter happens to be written in the corner of their case. It should be reminded that such a grading system completely overlooks...
The Fallout 4 limited edition Pipboy is pretty cool huh?...
Companies have been trying to include second screen support for a while now. Ubisoft did it with their Watchdogs game and are going to do it with their Division game with that drone thing. If I'm not mistaken, EA has that mobile app for their sports games, Microsoft had that glass thing, Sony have their Vita controller, and now Bethesda is doing it too. It's a gaming trend and not really exclusive to Nintendo...
I don't really care for the guy but there is this funny thing I found awhile ago, There is a contested quote by Socrates where he said, "The children now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise."
The argument that the younger generation are forsaking tradition and respect, basically "screwing up a generation", is ancient. All the way back to the time of antiquity,...
@Broburger, I would encourage you to offer more than just an initialism, not because you are not allowed, as if I had the power to decide that, but because doing so fails to convince anyone of your views, and will only serve to make them more set in the ways that you are against.
@RPGrinder, I understand your opinion, and while I also agree that a company's actions should not be overlooked out of favoritism, as I derived from your statement of Sony's interview in rega...
If I'm not mistaken, didn't Todd Howard say that he was going to try to get them on the PS4, but it was ultimately up to Sony, meaning that it's a maybe situation, or was it officially confirmed?
I recall a "leak" last year claiming a Pokemon Wii U, as well as the year before that. I'm not saying this could never be true, but I see the same incorrect leaks every year
The problem is that they're trying to put current gen graphics on the Wii U, when they could easily capitalize on the cheaper development to make games that works better with the majority of its fandom. Remember Rayman Legends? That game had suffered a boycott on Wii U and still sold best on the system at launch. It fit with what many Nintendo fans like in a game: cartoony, heavily stylized, clever; and it certainly helped that it was a platformer.
Instead of making games...
The rollers seemed rather balanced to my as well. as long as you know what your doing. For splatter guns, just stay out of their path using the squidform so they can't kill you instantly by rolling and force them to use their far weaker ranged attack by being at a different altitude.
Snipers is obvious, just snipe them from a different altitude and use your superior range.
as for rollers against rollers, it seems that an attack from behind is the best mea...
Also I noticed that a lot of hype died when they delayed the Wii U version of the game. Though the other versions were delayed later, Wii U gamers, which were their largest interest group at the time, at least among console gamers, didn't much appreciate being put on the back burner
ChronoJoe, I don't think the problem so much is that they're a business and more so that they promised support, then again and again retracted those promises. Such as them stating they will support the console at its start, then proceeding to ignore it at the next E3, making Rayman exclusive, then making it multiplat, and delaying the finished game to the end of the year. Amusing since the game still sold best on the Wii U despite being boycotted for going multiplatform. And re-releas...
Some people remake games in newer engines but mandate you own the original beforehand. The group of modders porting Oblivion into Skyrim are doing that to avoid copyright, by having the port continually check that you have the original files. Though I don't think you could do that with Nintendo games, not exactly easy to verify game purchases with a console game.
