They did the same thing on the gamecube if you remember. that tech demo was realistic, or as close as that gen got, and then they revealed Wind Waker. HUUUGE backlash from that, its regarded as one of the better Zelda now though. We'll have to see with this new game
sigh.... can the analysts stay out of this industry please. 9/10 times they're wrong so they clearly don't understand how it works in this medium. I'm sure they're very competent with other media of course, but they're wrong to often here

Did you notice that they referenced Miyamoto-san's cave exploration in the Nintendo Digital Event, at least it seemed that way, after the Legend of Zelda reveal. brought a smile to my face but I can imagine some didn't get it

do you see the big difference? New super Mario bros is released once per system where we've seen 5 LBPs in 6 years, I don't think LuigiU counted as it was an expansive DLC. Mario kart and Smash bros are also one system releases. Really we don't get the same Mario game as often as people like to say, other companies do it more if you look closely.

using a genre is not a rip-off. yes, LBP created it, or is at least credited with doing so, but until I start seeing sackpeople and all of LBP's game mechanics in Mario Maker, its not in anyway a rip-off
and in 4 player if you turn off the AI racers, at least it seemed like that to me when I did so...

I always thought the BAYX configuration was superb. you had access to all the buttons with little thumb movement, thus allowing for faster reaction.
Plus playing some of the N64 games on the Wii worked well enough, it wouldn't be that hard to make it do the same for NES as it only needs the A and B buttons, which have a good placement next to each other. I can see trouble with the SNES, but I wouldn't mind trying it out at least

If you buy MK8 within a month after its release you can get Pikmin 3, Wind Waker, Wii Party U, or NSMBU for free. that might help you have some more fun with the system. two for one deals are always nice
The outfit may be a reference to that considering how the Gerudo gauntlets differ heavily from the Wind Waker shirt. it may be a clue that you'll be able to customize Link's wardrobe, and in extension maybe even his gender
