Competition between console makers breeds better gaming for all of us! If there were no incentive for console manufactures to improve each generation we would all be playing Wii's (since they sell the most while providing the least performance and cheaper cost to make), not the incredible graphical and AI powerhouses we have all come to love. We live in America not communist China, don't let your gaming suffer to make life easier on the gaming companies, they should compete for our business. ...
Seriously, either: (1) English is not your first language, (2) You were NEVER hooked on phonics, or spelling for that matter, or (3) You don't care about coming across like a slobbering fanboy who cannot even type the words fast enough on his computer in his Mom's basement.
I own both the PS3 and the 360 and don't care what system games come out on, just that the games are good. I hope both Naruto games are good.
If you want your opinion and views on games (or anyt...
I wasn't even a Naruto fan but I picked the game up for $40 a few months back and have really had fun with it. The graphics look stunning in 1080p with no slowdown at all. Even my wife was really interested. I am so glad that Ubisoft is at the helm again!
You have a great idea there. There is nothing stopping companies like Epic or Bungie from releasing special avatars for users to use (probably for $ or as bonus content on special editions).
I hope MS can work something out so that the 360 runs semi-silently (like when downloading after being turned off) when watching movies. Either way this announcement is a serious blow to the PS3 and especially to Bluray. The convenience of the live marketplace and now with Netflix I don't see why people would really want to buy expensive Bluray discs over watching movies instantly.
It would be like Ford saying "well I know that all Chevy cars have windows that roll down but we have left that option up to the designers of each of our different models of cars". What!!? Sony needs to grow some balls and just require all games on their system to have trophy and home support.
Now if they can incorporate the serious with the zany that the series is known for without it turning to crap they will really have something. I still say Viggo Mortenson plays solid snake, even if he is a little old.
"So when firmware 2.4 is released the Playstation Network will be pretty much neck to neck with Xbox Live."
That is quite a broad statement, with one update PSN will go regain all of the ground lost over Microsoft's online lead? PSN is improving with every update but to give it such a great benefit of the doubt is a little naive.
It's called capitalism. No one craps a brick when Ford or Chevy say, "we have an all new F-150 in the works!" What is the problem? Do you not like your 360?
When companies compete in the marketplace we, as gamers all win. More competition means better products, better graphics, better everything. Do you think that Sony would have worked so hard on the PS3 and PSN if Microsoft hadn't been such a hard-charger in getting the 360 out?
If the company financially buckles under the pressure of the lawsuits then Itagaki and former team ninja will be able to buy the IP rights to Ninja Gaiden and the Dead or Alive for pennies!
If the issue was just Itagaki's complaint I would have been skeptical but now that the class-action suit is company wide I am certainly siding with the employees and not Tecmo. The whole situation seems like a indictment of Tecmo and in some ways the video-game industry in Japan.
As much fun as calling him "crazy" was in a hyperbolic way, in my professional opinion as a clinical psychology graduate student he may be delusional and possible have narcissistic personality disorder compounded with paranoia.
In no way does that mean I feel sorry for the guy he made his bed. Glad to see that the legal world is wising up to what us gamers have known for years.
I know it isn't as expensive as Xbox live gold, but it still is a shift from Sony's big, "ours is free!" stance. This wouldn't be such a big deal except for the fact that sony has been so self-righteous about the whole online being free thing.
I have that issue of RS and this is his entire quote:
"I don't ever want to be the kind of guy who rails against whatever progress has taken place. But Guitar Hero was devised to bring the guitar-playing experience to the masses without them having to put anything into it. And having done both, there's nothing like really playing the guitar. I mean, what would you rather drive, a Ferrari or one of those amusement-park cars on a track?"
I was really turned off to the first one (the "gangsta" premise) until CheapyD from cheapassgamer talked it up as hilarious and enjoyable in a satirical way. After buying it I was shocked that I loved every minute of it, the story was retarded but the world was fun as hell to play in! Not every game can have a shakespeare level story but in gaming the gameplay is the meat of the product, not always the story. I don't play burnout for the story, I don't play rainbow six vegas for th...
For anyone who listened to the hotspot podcast this is great news. They produced some of the funniest and most likeable videogame news and opinions around. Jeff and Ryan hiring half of the old gamespot staff is a nice way to stick it and break it off to those corporate tools who ruined gamespot.
"I don't know that there's any human being that has the ability to interpret what God and his final decision-making is going to be. That's what the faith says. I understand, and my caveat there is that an all-knowing God certainly transcends my personal ability to make that judgment black and white."
For Christians the #1 thing they know is that there is a God and #2 is that they are not him. Each individual cultivates a personal relationship with Christ but to fear Him...
They are almost always worth it. The story is crazy but I love the mystery and all out bizarre stuff going on. I am not looking for realism in a metal gear game. Great cut-scene.
