I don't understand people getting all territorial about GTA, I still play it but for balls out fun SR has that series beat. Rockstar is going for a more mature type of game lately and that's fine so what is the problem with SR going the opposite direction? I drunk the kool-aid and bought a launch PS3, knowing full well that most of the time early adopters get screwed in the long-term (higher price, greater technical problems, etc) but have been pleasantly surprised that my old, glossy, fat 60gb is relatively future proof since Sony has been stripping the PS3 of features with every new iteration. Honestly though I have only played PS2 games on the thing a few times (Katamari with young relatives) and my HD is almost full. However its never crash...
I see the logic the articles author is putting forth but since the unveiling of the vita, which has incredible tech/performance, maybe the PS4 will follow suit with incredible performance at an affordable price. Sure Sony will initially take a loss but if they make up with quantity they could be a serious contender against MS and Nintendo.
Wow, Sony is really firing on all cylinders with the Vita, first the ssid game carts (no moving disc parts) and now these incredible screens. I was ready to declare the iPad/iPhone the slayer of dedicated mobile gaming but then Sony comes along and gives it a shock to the heart! Some very sexy new hardware that I hope lives up to the hype.
Sony is very smart to drastically reduce the hardware and software prices for the vita. In this post-iPhone era gamers have gotten used to paying $5-10 for games now. Ever since Amazon started offering credit for game trade-ins I have no use for Gamestop. They pay the shipping when you send them games and the credit you get can be used for anything Amazon sells not just games.
No one really knows the facts regarding why Gerstmann was fired, something was fishy, certainly his stuff being put outside of his office wasn't cool. BTW stacking the manufacturer coupon with the $10 Reward Zone one is dicey, the clerk barely let the manufacturer one pass (it's hard to say no). Still, $20 for the game is still a steal, just credit CAG where credit is due.
I know that not everyone can afford both a 360 and a PS3 but..
Why not work more hours, use some student loan money, or just hold back on a few games until you can afford both (Cheapassgamer.com would save you enough money in about 6 months!). I saved and bought both and it was worth it. Both have their strengths and weaknesses and each have great exclusives.

What a steal God of War 3 is now that I have discovered this incredible game video feature, I would have paid a lot more if I would have known. Well, that's Sony for you, always providing such incredible value in their products and throwing in extra functionality for free!!
I don't know what happened or why but all the faces in AC2 look like cartoon characters now. The first had pretty good looking faces, kind of static, but still nice.
I have no complaints about the PS3 graphics, just their community, online and not enough exclusives. Not until Uncharted 2 did I see a game whose graphics matched the quality of the rest of it.
Movies, Music, Books, all bow before the profitability margin of hit games. Movies frequently cost 200 to 300 million to produce not including press and marketing.

These guys, who are clearly partisan in their platform support, get a story almost every week even though they seem to know little to nothing in the way of news. It's just some dudes saying inflammatory things to a webcam! How does that constitute news?
N4G should see the pattern by now: 1.) Title your story something unbelievable, misleading or salacious. 2.) Submit story to videogame blogs 3.) watch story get picked up and interested readers get pissed
