I wish.
Or that they’ve acquired or are developing a studio with entirely Japanese design principles and plan to keep it that way. With them going on PC now and streaming (I’ve heard good things about AC streaming in Japan on switch) then that’s the only way MS will ever find a place there. The Xbox won’t, but possibly Xbox games can when you ditch the platform requirement there. Let the Japanese dev basically work almost autonomously and release elsewhere sort of like t...
Too busy with other games, but this will be the first Bethesda main studio game I don’t buy day 1. I’ll explore the world at a later date because that’s what like most about their games anyways.
Bet the size is the same reason many open world games, especially older ones, have large patches. The game is probably divided into segments and you’re basically downloading groups of data that get unpacked during install.
The more convoluted, or rather complicated, the game system the more a single thing that needs patched will affect other things so if one piece needs fixed you’d download that “group”, plus any Pack with connected data. And then anything connected with ...
I’m betting we get an X patch announcement at XO. It would (probably) be an easier fix than a PC version and “soften the blow” that it goes to PC.
I don’t really care it’s going to pc, but if I can get 4K without rebuying it then I’m happy. I played it at launch and even tried streaming it to my pc through Xbox App later but it’s resolution (belive one of the first 900p One Games) didn’t look that great on my 1440 monitor and just okay on my new 4k tv (sitting distance di...
If they did buy them, I expect PoE and 2 to join game Pass. Which would be some great additions imo. Didn’t they also make Tyrant between the two PoE games? I never did play that one.
Kinect as a new toy. Probably helped capture some Wii fans since it had a lot of motion games.
I’m a bit surprised by later 360 sales really but price drops with skins help some. Plus 360 was a pretty popular system as a main last gen over PS3 for many, especially in certain regions. One is sort of in the slump though (exclusive wise) that the 360 got in its last year or two. Which because of the longer generation might not be shown yet.
Sad but true. I knew several that bought one while waiting for a fix or after warranties for other issues (e74 or something like that).
My GOTY for sure.
I can see why some wouldn’t like it, or parts of it, but that doesn’t change the fact, that for me, it’s basically everything i asked for or have wanted—without knowing what it was I needed as well.
As a huge fan of simply exploring open world games, RDR2 is hugely rewarding in a very unique way that makes it stand apart from most. Sort of if W3, Zelda BotW, and RDR had a love child on how gratifying simply ignoring the main story can b...
China or Japan for sure before they drop AC, unless they make a stand-alone IP dropping sci-fi bits so no longer really AC even if similar.
A ninja AC though would be the perfect time to bring back more varied assassination options. Tenchu for example had melee combat, stealth, poisoned food, etc to add to stealth mechanics which would be great for an AC game.
AC is alternated by 2 or 3 main studios. Just keep one on a 2-3 year cycle and have the others expand to other games again.
That way AC fans get the game we want still but also games we either no longer get or more new and unique IPs again (Skulls and Crossbones will be a new IP but is clearly inspired by AC Black Flag, so uniqueness factor gets dropped some). Put one of the AC teams on PoP though.
They can review the dev then, not the game.
Hines recently said to expect their new games to be about the same time between them as their main internals. So after F76 I’m not expecting Starfield for around 3 years still, maybe 2 if they had most of the team work on it while smaller worked on 76.
Which means ES6 is probably about 6 years out :( A new traditional Fallout possibly 9+ due to new IP (starfield), if they don’t do another before it. Which hurts, but that means tech will be crazy by then too. Even ES w...
Rockstar’s ai simulations are ridiculous and the most next gen example of it yet (not even next gen, but in this regard it feels like it). Just traveling around watching the world live and watching animals and people act “realistically” is crazy fun at times.
I’ll just gallop alongside herds of deer or pronghorns just because and watch other animals spook and flee around us as well. I’d bird watch more if it was easier to see them ;)
Skyrim did a pretty...
People that are downvoting don’t seem to realize it’s an option you don’t have to use? Disable it and 4K/60. In a few more years enable it and get that much better lighting as ES games have super long legs that can be played for years via mods.
By time it’s even out they might have a much better ray tracing enabled card too.
Pete Hines I believe said to expect their big games to launch about as often as they used to (Oblivion->F3->Skyrim-&g t;F4-&...
That was my question too.
A weekend does not equal a week.
Stupid question... but isn’t it kind of hard to compare a game’s “first week’s sales” when it hasn’t been out for even a week yet?
Parity in these cases means textures being the same. assets the same, etc.
Otherwise we’d be playing it at 720-1080p like an Xbox one X S plays it at on every system and no one wants that. Not sure of its resolution really, but it’s often sub 1080p on huge games these days.
1000 is a bit much though...
Game Pass games on PC have only been limited to Play anywherr since it’s tied to both Windows and Xbox account.
It sounds like they’ll be opening GP to a lot more pc games, although I doubt it’s 100% with some of the games on it.
I have a feeling that’s a Game Awards reveal if not e3. If MS managed to reveal there though it would be huge.
Likely overshadowingly huge. It would probably be what was talked about over anything MS showed themselves imo, unless they’ve been holding an ace up their sleeve anyways.
