Ryse: Son of ___, based on a different culture and story.
Simply have stories based on major moments of different Civilizations’ conflicts and legends. Although they could just as easily keep Rome and base it on a different front. Celts are done but Rome had a ton of different enemies over the centuries which they could also pull from.

The Order is neither here nor there, but I’d take a sequel fixing it’s pacing (add more combat that is fun and not so heavy in cinematics compared to gameplay). The concept and story was great and begs for a sequel.
Ryse is similar. Any sequel needs to fix its flaws as well, namely combat variety. It played fine but nothing too special, as it was very rock, paper, scissors combat wise. I could do without the god’s angle as well since the story without them was fine and ...
Crystal Skulls minus the aliens theory.
Travel different regions of Central and South America hunting their origins and the “true creators” and myth behind them—given this stories theory anyways. They were always interesting to me and fit well for the region.
To be fair, the gold dragons In that room all look about the same (several in different piles of gold) but the angular “electrical” like offshoots of it instantly make me think about Quez, probably due in part because of Final Fantasy ;)
So maybe it’s just a norse Dragon heavily stylized, but it gave me those vibes instead.
More spoilers... but:
Just before that, on the way down, they show alphabet and symbols for: Greece, Egypt, somewhere Asian (I can’t tell to be honest), and what looks to be either Babylonian or even Mayan/Aztec pyramids (the wide tiered uncovered stone ones). Treasure room also has a “Dragon” that looks sort of like Quezectol or however you spell it and busts or masks that remind me a lot of that culture.
Could be a hint or just elude to just what cult...
WoW, with expansions maybe, but not just the original game. Wii Sports was bundled a ton so don’t count that myself.
I’m sure blizzard has made more though simply because it’s been out longer and has a subscription and other monetized systems as well now. Neither were disappointed by performance but still not GTA V as a single base product paid for on its own, as far as i know.
He refused to take down YouTube videos of how to cheat repeatedly (hack consoles, cheat in other games, etc) and his family even filed a counter suit to keep them up. They basically brought it on themselves at that point as if you don’t defend your IP you’re allowing worse later.
Also, don’t support a monetized hack which made it that much worse in cases like this.

I’ve never been ready for more FC right after beating the last but 5 did that for me. Hoping the first dlc hits soon.
No other developer/publisher has a single game in a franchise (gta v) inching towards a possible 100M lifetime sales either, so they’re not too worried. It is still in top 10 NPD month to month after all. It’s rumored to have made over $6B on its own, between sales and MT for online components.

Can’t wait to see their e3.
I want Xbox’s to be great, but I actually expect Nintendo’s to be. I’m hoping for Pokemon reveal at the least even if not releasing yet, Metroid if we’re lucky. Sony has a ton to show as well as once e3 hits most of their big hitters still do t have any gameplay shown and who knows what else might show up.
Basically, this e3 could be one of the best.
It was a load of trash I enjoyed playing though. Probably would have passed on it though if it didn’t launch so early in the Console’s lifecycle and had more competition at the time.
Last boss was stupid though and just a bullet sponge without checkpoints.
Something unexpected, like the Mayan or Aztec. Some of the Central and South American mythologies are very brutal and would fit well imo—plus we might see Kratos Head Dunk a Boss depending on which they chose.
They’re also very underused locations really and some have mysteries about why they even ended.
It was fine, just too many Robot sections (which 5 can reduce but not remove, due to the story moment in 4) and Fabricator defending bits as well were too common imo.
Just focus more on the regular combat and less on new bits that were too commonplace and sometimes even stale and I’d be happy. Also... don’t add too many stupid weapons. No sawed off equivalent, a bunch of heavy weapons we don’t need, etc added to multiplayer.
No reboot needed imo but i agree with some of what you’ve said for one reason or another.
I preferred the darker tone of the first and parts of the others—2 is when Horror started to die with all of the Reaver/Brumak rides, Giant Tunnel Worm, etc which were over the top imo. Tai basically had no emotional attachment though (even less than... forgot his name from 1 all of a sudden), but Maria was reasonably well done. So it was hit and miss pretty early really.

4’s much more fluid than 3, with the from-roadie run vault and such, which was a nice addition imo. So mechanically, that was a vast improvement imo. Plus loading didn’t have as many hitches on reaching checkpoints (stutters at times in older games while they saved—forgot about that until recently replaying old games on X).
Robots were a step back in many ways though so I hope the crystallized/hacked ones are more interesting for 5. Plus I really, really don’t need a bunc...
Best thing about same release though is they help fill in their own limited launch releases, compared to later anyways when Devs are making games solely for one generation and not past still.
Granted I can still play other games on old systems too, but visual discrepancy will be bigger if one launches before the other.
If they can survive this one, I doubt it will make a big difference next. They just need a smaller, more realistic expectation than some they’ve had in the past. 50M lifetime for example over a 100M goal, which only Sony and Nintendo ever managed to break.
Next gen they just need the games and studios as expect next gen could last a while since glass ceiling is falling more and more. Can hold out a bit more with 4k base.
I disagreed solely based on your bad taste in tv shows. Marco Polo was a good series. Not my favorite but better than most Netflix series imo (but definitely no strangers or Lost in space either).

Xbox is highly profitable, all they need is to finally invest all that profit into studios and games worth playing and not just because they might be able to milk the franchise.
I’m not saying they’re milking Halo, Gears, Forza, etc but they focus too much on franchises internally as they’ve closed down every major studio not making those games except Rare now. I actually enjoy Halo and Gears still but H6 needs to be done right and maybe close the MC-Cortana Arch completel...
