Nope. That doesn't sound like Killzone gameplay. I'd like it to have a heavy feeling like 2 or 3. It should remain gritty. They can improve on the storytelling though and take more aspects of the existing universe.
They can do a remake of 2 and 3 and make it one game and see how that does. The assets still hold up today.

Well to be fair the call of duty teams should be able to do far more with the franchise with the given time but Activision probably doesn't give too big budgets on development side.

Money rules these companies. They gladly do a 360 spin if it earned them 100s of millions of dollars. Unfortunately they don't realize how bad they themselves (ea/dice) acted as well so they should accept the 50% less sales at a far lower average price. There are other games to buy no matter how bad they want the people back who they told to not buy if you don't like.
I think since some games are different depending on the region they might have opted for a way to just activate and deactivate depending on where it's sold. We know that Europe is different Japan but maybe some other regions are slightly different too.
It really surprises me how literally every EA studio goes throgh the same cycle until nothing is left anymore. Battlefield release cycle used to be 3 years and now dice has to release every year a game. All for the short term money until they can buy another studio to do the same. Im scared for Respawn next.
Selling half compared to Battlefield 1 is still a ton cash but you don't release products for it to do worse.

To be hones the sense of joy and satisfaction knowing I finished it and the overall quality make me okay to wait until the next game. I rather have finished experiences and seeing how well it is selling I believe it is the case for many.
If I owned Bethesda I'd be ashamed to let 100s of employees work without proper direction, shoehorning stuff that doesn't belong in the game just to poop out mediocrity. Even if you day it's more like a 5 or a 6 out of 10 it's still a very low standard that Bethesda with huge budgets should strive for. Their goal in entertainment should be that. They probably never will. Unfortunately the game is designed before the HDR boom (although they should have anticipated this) and works on an 8bit color gamut.
For HDR you need at least 10bit, preferably 12 for dynamic HDR. That means they need to redesign quite a big portion of the game.
The best and most honest thing rockstar can do is remove the setting completely.

I saw Wipeout, Uncharted Lost Legacy, Hitman 2, Shadow of War, Lego Games and SF V, shadow of colossus in a minute or so. And there are many more if you look a bit more. This deal has something for everyone and so will the upcoming ones as well.
