I guess I agree but I believe a swan song is the last major performance or last thing in your career. So it really has more to do about the release date. It would have been TLOU if it released after Ghosts
I think all the news just increased sales.
To be fair Modern Warfare on launch was quite good which caused the sales increase compared to the previous two entries.
Although now I get annoyed with the contant updates and the massive 200GB
Dude, the game is amazing. A few hours in and I like where the story is going. Knowing the leaks I actually enjoy it a lot and im sure many will do. Gameplay, audio and visuals are just perfect.
The day after the reveal the PS5 was showcased on the national news in Belgium (VTM Nieuws - usually around 800k views). I also believe on Een (around 2 million views) and French outlets/channels it was briefed. So the whole country knows about the PS5 now. Add the crazy amount of posts on FB and other social media by PS Europe, Belgium etc. I literally believe that more than half the country is fully aware on the PS5 for this holiday.
There are friends asking me about PS5 that never even watched any gaming event (no E3, no state of plays, no game publications). Also some are gonna get their first Playstation with the 5. It is crazy.
The lowest the PS4 Pro version got was 28fps in a couple water sections but even then more hovering around 29 or 30fps. This is negligible.
Insomniac mentioned you can travel in realtime to any planet instantly.
After that ending i'm sure people can't wait for the sequel.
Since new gen consoles will release at 499 it would require the base PS4 to be close to 99 euros for it to have sales similar as the PS2. And even then it would probably be a stretch. I don't think Sony can decrease the price to that level but between 149 and 199 without sales/discounts should be possible. It will probably sell 130m units or more by it's lifetime.
I never understood that. Just cap menu of any graphics in menu's at 30fps. Sometimes games even don't have a framerate cap in menu.
Where can i buy a Nintendo switch then? I see stock available dates till mid or even end April on a regular priced switch.
Or you you can load even bigger worlds. That's exactly the example sony provided. Less corridor style gameplay or background loading and more real time loading.
Imagine this. You load a level. All those assets go to RAM ready to be accessed when needed. However compared to xbox one and with right developers you potentially need half those assets to be prepared due to the SSD speed meaning there is room for other things that require ram.
Got a digital copy myself on Friday. Didn't have the early access. Usually I buy a physical copy for non sale ps exclusives buf this one I felt differently towards. Wanted to have it tied to my account just in case they provide a commercial license later in the year
The things is that when you use ultra wide monitors that it already becomes a 30% bump of that resolution. Three Kingdoms Total War on my GTX 1080 had to go from Ultra/High settings to High (medium for grass) without Ambient Occlussion and AA. I still average around 50fps but can't imagine what I need to dial back if it is on a 4K resolution. This with Ultra unit size.
1440p is indeed the sweet point for ultra settings for 5700 XT, 1080 Ti, 2070 Super. However
...
So you're not from universe 616 right?
Galactic Assault and Split screen online is what I feel is missing.
The times of Bad Company 2 multiplayer with some amazing dedicated hosts, auto balancing, game enhancing rules and community. I remember having a couple dedicated servers starred and would only play on those occasionally seeing the same people join as well. I really don't understand why this is not pushed anymore. I actually think EA is losing money by not having these kind of functionality because these things made these games big with longevity.
If it leaves game pass you have to buy it anyway. You'll just get a discount.
Same here. Played around 10 hours so should finish within the next 2 weekends. Got Ghosts already pre-ordered and looking forward for that!
