There are rumors that AMD will have newer Navi drivers that could bump the clock speed on same power load stabily. Maybe they increase with another 100 or 200Mhz and thus increase the fan speed with 5 percent or so. Who knows. If it's Controlled it can be adjustsd by firmware. Doesn't mean it has to

I think both Samsung 980 Pro and this WD have a 500GB option for 149USD. 1TB for 229USD. Seeing how maybe ohee manufacturers are gonna release these and with an increasing market that they'll probably go cheaper down the line.

Changed to a Nidec Fan and used GelID Extreme to change thermal paste+ thermal grizzly for the memory. Quite a welcome improvements from jet engine in the last of us 2 to barely noticeable fan.
But it's true a consumer shouldn't do all the hassle.
Well I was gonna get a PS5 anyway and with Demon Souls for me it's the best time to get into these games. I am sick of non challenging or generic games lately that this will be a definitive purchase for me.
More respect from their purchased. People already bought the game and can play it the way it was intended. The upgraded version doesn't make your disc disappear.
Spider man is the best selling playstation game with over 20 million copies. Barely any of those people are here on n4g, read the blogs or were angry because of the mary Jane design (I remember those days when people got pissed about that as well.).
They might see a trailer and know out of experience this game is one to play again or get the miles morales.

I believe that the Samsung 980 pro should work and that's 229 USD MSRP for 1TB. If they would come with a 2TB version that wouldn't be more than 499 USD.
What I realized comparing X360 high days and Xbox One / Series is that people have a very strong narrative to not just defend but oversell the Xbox brand. If it comes from an executive I can understand but people and small blogs just want everyone to give every dime they have to their Microsoft overlords.
People should applaud after a series of good games actually release on the platform and not before.

The Samsung 980 Pro 1TB has an MSRP of 229USD so for now I guess pricing remains similar until other brands will release their own. Don't think it will be much lower than 170USD for the time being. Maybe QLC alternatives that might bring the price a bit down next year.
I think God of War 2 will be exclusive. People will get Horizon already on PS4 which is more than most expected.

The Samsung 980 Pro 1TB which I expect to be compatible has an MSRP of 229USD and I expect it once production and competition increases it would be more around 180 - 200 USD. The difference here is that there can be competition and if they have maybe a QLC variant that we can see prices around 130-150USD in the next 10 months and down the line gradually go lower.
To be fair you could consider EA buying Westwood being a tremendous victory for EA but we all saw how that turned out.
