You could say that about any game, was Uncharted repetitive and were you disappointed because that was linear?
I'm glad they didn't make it an open world where you could get lost, it set a goal, it was easy to navigate and it was fun.
I think the only people that look to call the game repetitive or linear are the ones looking to downplay how good of a game it actually is.

Why do PS3 fanboys act like if Microsoft puts a game on PC that it's not an exclusive anymore? I personally don't look at the PC as a competitor to the Xbox 360 or the PS3.
Since your going to most likely need a Microsoft operating system to run it anyway and Microsoft wants to make money off the PC as well.

Gears 3 was obviously one of, if not the best 3rd person shooter this year. Sales and Scores alike point towards that.
Forza was the highest rated racing game this year and has sold over a million copies.

It was obviously a great year for Microsoft. They had less core exclusives this year, but the ones they did have were the best of the best.
They had the best arcade exclusives and some innovative Kinect integration and Kinect games as a whole.
I think from the standpoint that 3rd party games had no issues on the Xbox 360, like Skyrim and even MW3 on the PS3, PSN was down for part of the year, while XBL was fine all year round and we got updates that actually...

There is nothing new on PSN, as for the XBM, it's a plain Jane and I understand it's fanboy speak to defend what you like, but I'd rather see one stupid ad on a page on a colorful XBL that has tons of apps and features, then the plain text of the XMB.

The VGA's want to be more legitimate, there is no problem with that. To do that you have to appeal to more then just the stereotype gamer of the pathetic old guy who lives in his mothers basement.
You want to attract future gamers, turn casual gamers into core gamers and I think they do a good job, at least last night of doing that.

Microsoft has released some of the top games over the past couple of years. They aren't abandoning anything. In all honesty, what games would they or any first party release that would be better then Skyrim, Batman, Portal, Assassins Creed and Modern Warfare 3?

Gears is amazing, it'd be foolish to think they wouldn't make more, last I heard People Can Fly was rumored to possibly work on the next Gears. We know Gears Of War Exile is a thing, just not sure what it is or when it'll get announced officially.
I will say I loved the innovation of Fortnite, it brings together tower defense and the building of Minecraft, so I'm not sure why trolls are in here complaining about innovation.

Microsoft is hands down giving people more for their Gold Membership. When I comment and say something like "Exclusives aren't as important as N4G kids try to make out" I get this response "So more games is bad?".

Last nights was actually pretty good compared to previous ones IMHO.
They have to keep it a bit mainstream because some people that watch might be casual gamers and you don't want to alienate them.
The reveals were cool, the presenters were cool. I think everything went rather well. The whole T-bagging thing was funny as hell, especially when Robert Bowling ran off and left the guy from Sledgehammer Games there to get T-Bagged...lol

Epic Games was always multiplatform, Gears is just under contract with Microsoft, not sure about this. BulletStorm sold like crap on PS3, so I wouldn't be surprised if they cut their losses and just sold it on the 360.
I think it's a cross between Minecraft and tower defense, which is something new and fresh.
I know most people here thought it would be some beefed up shooter, but in the end you can never make everyone happy. They said it was a totally new direction and they delivered with that.

My response was simply in response to all the ignorance on this topic. I play what I want to, but Alan Wake is still a Microsoft exclusive imho and that's not going to change anytime soon.
I'm all for Remedy making more money and creating awareness for Alan Wake, just makes for the likelihood of the fans seeing sequels.
