This is solid news, Microsoft already offers Free Gold Weekends from time to time. Xbox Live is truly the main event when it comes to online community and functionality. Solid way to gain customers. All signs point towards the 720 sometime next year, I think the current 360 will continued to be developed for, but it will be the "casual" console, mostly going after casual gamers.

Actually the similarities between PSN and XBL end with the ability to play online. People that claim they offer the same features obviously haven't played both to properly compare.

These are part of the perks of being a Gold Member, you get a ton of content for the price. People are always asking why they should pay for XBL and this new update is a clear example of that.
Why would you really have an Xbox 360 and not have Gold anyway? I can understand some casual's having it and not caring about online, but were in a day and age where most games are online enabled.

Survival and zombies as a whole are overdone IMHO. I think it's played out for a lot of people, just like shooters.

Oh give me a break, the PS3 web browser is the most HORRIBLE thing ever. It locks up and crashes whenever you try to use Youtube, it's nothing like how this app is set up on XBL.
