It's still the best media-player I've used. Surprised though that they're still updating it for NEW Blu-Ray releases, but that's awesome.
I pay for both and Game Pass Ultimate, and get the best of both worlds.
Pretty great, I do see difference between the modes, even the first comparison, but for that huge a bump in performance, it's worth it, hope we can fine tune it at some point or at least it scales its effect depending on frame-limit(I limit my frames for cooling). Really glad they're supporting RX 500 since I have the RX580 right now.
Great great game. Would need another playthrough (Gwent and horse racing) to get the platinum, plus I never bought/played the expansions.
No fucking developer will develop a game around that pool of memory, and they won't branch their development on that.
Consoles are of course usually behind PC brute-force/money builds. I think current-gen has taken a big leap now, at least with standardized NVMe SSD. Console exclusive development is going to shine, developer magic is only going to get better to show how those standards are important.
How?
I think I can justify $0.01 to support the developers or Sony.
I think the majority of gamers try to save/spend less money. But I get where you're coming from if you have the disposable income, you are definitely losing money in the end.
LOVED Days Gone. Played it Day One, and wondered, even throughout my playthrough, why it was receiving such flak. I didn't platinum it because I was renting it(due to well, money, and criticism) and was sharing the disc with my brother(and he platinumed it, rat bastard). I was hoping to revisit and platinum it with my PS5, which I still don't have. Days Gone is still one highlight of my PS4 gaming repertoire.
Took a while for Insomniac, give it that, but that could be an Insomniac thing, I don't understand business 🤷♂️🤷♂️. Housemarque has a decent track record for Playstation.. but buy worthy as compared to Insomniac is the question. Returnal might not be the thing that makes the big wigs at Sony beg with their wallets open to acquire them.... but damn is it making a good case. Xbox/MS is stepping up their acquisition game.. soo.
It'll get better, it's in an infant stage for real-time. . And it's harder to tell on a compressed video. I've seen "a" difference on my OLED, but it's harder to tell on a shitty monitor, but even on the comparison videos, I could see better realism in just the lighting areas. It'll hopefully get better, but I won't trade 60fps for 30fps right now, that'd entirely depend on the type of game. 60fps for 40fps on an immersive survival horror, or a TPS s...
Witcher 3 was magnitudes less of a buggy mess, and I played it day 1 on PS4 launch. Can't honestly recall major bugs or glitches besides the horse races glitch that locked me out of a trophy without another playthrough, of course I'd have needed another one for Gwent. They came from fame, from Witcher 3 's success. This failure of a launch will not be forgotten. And yes it's a failure, imagine if they didn't have backings of fans and marketing.
😭 ✊
Would love to use NVMe drives as storage/PS4 play. Moving back and forth from PS5 would be so much quicker than an external HDD/2.5 SSD.
👀
Defo. I bet it'll be great on release.. and it's one of maybe 3 next-gen games that got me excited for PS5. My buy will not be day-one however. (gotta be a bot to get a PS5).
I like saving money, so I buy used/or cheap on digital sales. You're talking about netting money for a new console.... It doesn't exactly go hand-in-hand with buying new copies, kinda shooting yourself in the foot there.
I'll wait until the Pro releases to run this bad boy, hope they'll have an enhanced patch.
@CobraKai,
Sure sounds to me like you could afford Internet if you are buying all that. Of course, there's people who live in areas without laid lines, and have to resort to Expensive and slow/high-latency satellite internet with stupid data caps and deprioritization.
