Exactly.
Us PC crowd are getting an even higher graphics setting. "Insane" or something.
The game won't look much better as it already looks shit.
Graphics settings can't take away the last-gen features in this last-attempt from MS.
@Listenkids
Moron, Tomb Raider for consoles had entirely new textures added to it over the original PC version.
OF COURSE it looks better in places. PC still has higher resolution textures overall though if you actually bother to look at the proof.
It's almost like it's been out for longer and therefore has more games.
It's still a Nintendo. Lagging behind as usual with only Mario and Zelda keeping them afloat.
Nintendo needs to go away now. You built the blocks for sure, but you're dead weight and your stock proves it.
"OH LOOK! ANOTHER Mario."
Zzzz.
Same reason why people are dumb enough to buy the next iPhone 6 months later;
People want the latest and best "stuff".
Which is why the PS4 is out of stock, and Xbox can't be given away.
How is this CoD clone with robots the biggest game on the horizon?
Titanfall looks crap.
Glados.
End of discussion.
TOMB RAIDER!?
What a load of bull. This is blatantly a way of making console owners feel better about their hardware.
Tomb Raider was almost unanimously agreed to be NOT a demanding game.
TressFX was messed up by Nvidia at the start and halved your FPS if turned on. A few drivers later and it has almost no affect on your FPS.
This is such rubbish.
The maps have been suggested by Adam Sessler to be small, worryingly small.
Yet another PC classic butchered by damn consoles.
Can't see this being any better than Dishonored, which is nowhere near as good as the classic Thief games.
Shame, yet nobody on consoles cares.
Dark Souls 2 on PC, Watch Dogs and Infamous 2nd Son will keep me happy for the first half of the year.
If they stopped crapping out a game every year, they might actually make something good.
Like Modern Warfare. We need another moment like that instead of this..pathetic cash-cow milking.
Yeah, the moving fish was so next-gen....
Their pricing is perfectly fine for those of us that haven't played the game and want it on their new PS4/Xbox One.
But for me, for example, who paid for it day one on PC through Steam, I can't justify getting it for PS4, even though I haven't finished the game yet (long story about a fresh Windows install and Steam going full retard on me for the first time via cloud saves).
Makes sense for those that haven't played it, no sense for those tha...
Don't care what anyone says.
Framerate matters. 60 FPS over 30 IS a big difference, even if the PS4 can't maintain it (let's face it, it fluctuates between the 50s and 40s, hitting 60 FPS at times).
Even on PC my FPS on, say, Battlefield 4, fluctuates between 100 and 150 depending on what's going on.
The leap between 60 and 120 FPS, utilizing a 120hz monitor, is a MASSIVE one though, and is something the next console(s) shoul...
To me this just highlights how the controller's light bar is just a gimmick.
I love my PS4, but never once have I seen the bar's light do anything when playing.
It's not even noticeable for me in the dark. My monitor's screen is matte so I don't see the reflection either.
Eidos have said the PC will be the dominant version overall.
No they didn't.
PC on the highest settings is still superior. If you look up close, the textures on PC far surpass the consoles.
And even if some textures WERE to beat PC, the PC hasn't had the new textures added (yet).
This is a RIDICULOUS comparison. You're basically comparing HD with non-HD and going "herpa derp, HD is better."
Consoles will never look better than the PC version. Why is this so har...
Tomb Raider "runs" at 60 FPS.
Aka an average of 53, lows of 40, 60 sometimes.
I expect less than 60, frankly. Hitting 60 now and then.
Quick look at these prices and it's still hardly decent.
Steam works for a reason, and these prices aren't the reason.
PC hasn't had the new texture pack applied.
Why bother comparing it to the new version?
Oh right, because console owners want to feel their console is better than PC. Sorry.
The inconvenient truth is that "graphics don't matter" is the new excuse for Xbox fans.
Typical bs from those that know they made the wrong choice.
One look in the past, it was ALL about graphics. How the Xbox would trump the PS4 "of course it will".
Now? Suddenly it doesn't matter?
Ohhhhhhh because the Xbox sucks in comparison and you feel the need to justify your over-priced brick of a machine....
