So much for 1080p60 on consoles then.
Why is 30 suddenly seen as "okay" or "preferred"?
Oh because you realized the consoles CAN'T either do or maintain 60 FPS, proven by almost every game out so far, with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions that aren't even that visually taxing. Gotcha.
I love how this whole article ignores the fact that the game is perfectly fine on PC.
But oh. Because consoles have a problem, it's a massive issue.
I haven't finished the main campaign yet, but I'm playing paragon, aka the good guy, and I've heard the game is easier if you play Infamous.
The game is SUPER easy already, and with loads of people hating the ending, this will just be another disappointment for me with Infamous SS.
The FPS, lack of day and night, kinda dull story and basically using 1 power the whole time as it blows the others away...the game is kinda boring.
It's short, will only be played twice by many, easy to platinum, can be finished in a weekend, has massive framerate issues at times, and the story is pretty dull.
Hardly a masterpiece.
And there's prettier games out there too.
...yet it will run at 30 FPS.
So much for the 1080p60 arguments.
It looks like the city has more to do in it, unlike GTA.
Bit of shame it's so short and easy, and only warrants 2 playthroughs.
Moron.
The PC has more games reviewed on Metacritic etc than the console have had since the Xbox 360 and PS3.
The PC version of Skyrim sold over 5 million on release.
JUST THE PC VERSION.
Your precious Infamous with it's small map and short story, will barely sell that.
So don't come at us with your lack of PC knowledge, saying all we care about is graphics, when you're busy bitching to the Xbox O...
The real problem with Thief, is that it was made with consoles in mind.
The PC classics, the PROPER Thief games, are where Thief is amazing. MASSIVE levels, non-linear, great stealth etc.
You get NONE of that in the new Thief. Why? Because the old hardware can't cope while updating the engine at the same time. So you have to make the maps smaller.
And why have to move a block of wood every time you go between areas? Because the hardw...
Infamous dips frames a lot. Get on top of a building then look up, then look down. If you can't see the MASSIVE frame drops from about 60 to barely 30, you need your eyes tested.
And it didn't deliver the visuals. It was downgraded too.
Hard to polish a turd.
It's hardly a "next gen" looking game.
Buy an overpriced, under-performing console for an unoriginal game with dated graphics and mechanics?
Hah, not a chance thanks.
They said ages ago they were ditching the gaming part of their business.
Not that anyone really buys music or DVDs any more either...
Bye bye HMV. You and GAME won't be missed, with your ridiculously high prices.
No, we're pissed that reveal videos don't reflect the final product.
Aka, we're pissed at the console's lack of power.
Yeah, why does it matter.
Ohhhhhhh because The Witcher 3 isn't going to look as good as your screenshots on consoles?
It won't fail.
Which is a shame as it does nothing new, yet "unoriginality" will never be mentioned in the paid-off reviews.
I bet "amazing graphics" will be seen as positive points too. Not that the textures look like they were made in 2006 or anything.
So, how close to release can we expect to see the downgraded visuals Ubisoft?
Is there a "better graphics" tree, or is that just DLC?
Oh well, so much for The Division looking amazing too.
I think the "Souls" series of games are one of few big, non-Wii games where graphics are genuinely second to gameplay.
Dark Souls is about timing, frustration, and a feeling of unbeatable reward. Not pretty tings.
This is ridiculous.
Are they afraid to show the PC version because it looks so much better?
You're still going to piss people off when the PC version is compared inevitably after launch with the console versions.
