@Ravenor
I can live with a few jaggies; it's the animations and framerate I'm most concerned about, and no screenshot, bullshot or in-game, can convey that. Only the final release can. The animations in Halo Anniversary were, surprisingly, worse than those of the original Halo, so I'm anxious to see what lessons they learned from that project.
So far, it's looking pretty good. However, experience has taught me it's best to remain cautiousl...
I'll wait for some screenshots that I can see firsthand, thanks.
Once again,
So basically it's the first Crysis in 3rd person with shitty AI.
I'm calling it right now: Game of the Year, folks.
Games like this exploit the hell out of DLC.
Crytek better make the PC the lead development platform this go-around. Crysis 2 runs like ass on my rig, while Battlefield 3 runs at 50-60 fps @ 1080p resolution with all settings on Ultra. Maybe they should give DICE a call...
I wish Crytek would shut the hell up already and just SHOW us something.

"It doesn't cost any more money to make a graphically awesome game today than it did 20 years ago during the Doom era."
It's only 7:52 in the morning where I'm at right now, but I already know this is the most stupid thing I'm going to read today.
When you're "high as a kite" you'll be lucky just to find your damn controller.
Not that I would know, or, anything...
I have absolutely zero love for Call of Duty but these articles are ridiculous and nothing more than fanboy bait.
13 million copies sold is a "lowered sales number" I'm sure many developers would be more than thrilled to have for their games 7 months after release.
Fuck whoever approved this.
Shut up and just bring it, Cervat!
Only on consoles.
Promises, promises...
@shackdaddy
Are you serious?
Agreed. If people want the absolute best experience hey can get, go with PC. If you don't want to tinker with settings and just play games, go with a console.
I know, right?
Everything the author wants can be done with any PC today, whether it's store-bought or a custom rig. He's just too lazy and cheap to do it himself.
October sounds plausible. Every GTA game since III has been released around September/October except for IV, and even it was originally scheduled to release in Fall 2007 before being delayed 6 months.
ETA: What "ionicmoose" said.
Also, I agree that the info regarding the campaign sounds good so far, but I will remain cautiously optimistic, having been burned more than once by Bungie.
Thanks for your reply.
I'm just sick of the Campaign in every Halo (in ANY FPS in the last several years really) since CE receiving the red-headed stepchild treatment. The Halo universe is too rich and is deserving of more love and attention from developers.
We'll have to agree to disagree regarding multi-player, but I will say this: MILLIONS of fans are clamoring for ANY shred of info on Half-Life 3/Episode 3, and it's NOT because of its MP. It...
@Halochampian
I was referring to the animations during cutscenes. The in-game animations were fine, and the framerate was... acceptable.
Halo Anniversary basically had the new graphics engine running on top of the original gameplay code, which is why the game felt like the old Halo. I haven't played through the game in "classic" mode, so I don't if they changed anything there, graphically speaking.
