LOL, that'll pay for the GPU and the hard disk at most...
The "next-gen" consoles aren't here simply because gamers don't want to pay for them. Just look at how many people bitch about the cost of games! $60 is NOT a lot of money.
Stop being cheapskates or find another hobby. "Hardcore gamers" my ass.
How much are you willing to pay?
And THIS is PRECISELY why we don't have next-gen consoles with next-gen graphics.
Do you REALLY THINK that you're going to be able to purchase a console that can play Samaritan at 1920x1080 resolution @60FPS for anything less than $800.00 within the next decade??
Looks like the Wii U will be the dominant console for the next ten years. Nobody here wants to ACTUALLY PAY for the "next-gen" experience.
It didn't seem as if any of the devs playing with the Pro controller had trouble keeping up. A good sign.
Yeah, Rayman is looking pretty awesome.
Halo 4 is honestly the ONLY reason I still have my 360. After watching that gameplay trailer, I'm on the fence. I need to see more. The graphics did look nice, though.
It is pretty sad when you have to pay devs and celebrities to promote their multiplat titles as if they were 360 exclusives...
@ABizzel1
Both Activision and EA supported the Wii and will continue that trend for the Wii U.
Wii U: bringing the FUN back into gaming.
This looks like a day-one purchase if it's available.
I have to admit I was excited about Halo 4 until I saw the gameplay trailer. Now I'm not so sure. The enemies look... well, stupid. The enemy AI wasn't any better.
The graphics did look nice, though.
I love it! It's about time somebody stole something from Microsoft for a change.
Still the best 1st party lineup in gaming, followed closely by Sony's.
Maybe this year will be different. Here's hoping.
The thumbsticks for the Wii's nunchuck takes Sony's and Microsoft's out behind the woodshed and beats them senseless. Best sticks by far in the industry.
This is quite literally the best controller designed to date.
Of course, now that Nintendo has addressed the "hardcore gamer's" concerns about the controller, they'll cling to the "Nintendo ripped off Xbox" talking point.
SHOVE IT, BROKE-ASS FANBOYS. I...
This is awesome. Clickable sticks and a traditional alternative that will appeal to developers. Nintendo actually listened to gamers!
Can't wait to see the specs, games, and price at E3!
LOL, maybe you're right...
I had such high hopes for this game back when it was featured on Game Informer's cover, but after years of teasing and deceit by Crystal Dynamics/Square Enix, culminating with this gameplay trailer, I'm convinced that this game was nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the Tomb Raider name.
The most hilarious thing of all is that even though Uncharted and the old TR games were NOTHING alike, the fanboys happened to ...
@theeg
Precisely.
Consoles are obsolete. I'm eager to see what devs can create when they're not limited by the restraints of inferior closed hardware. Development will also speed up, since devs don't have to spend an extra two years getting their creation to run on the Shitbox/POS.
Oh really?
I've been gaming for 24 years and currently have
a Wii
TWO PS3s
an Xbox 360 slim
a PS Vita
a 3DS
TWO Sega Dreamcasts
a Macbook Pro
an iPhone 4
a $1,500.00 self-built PC
and I don't "adjust my life to gaming." I game when I have the time. Guess I'm not a core gamer.
Or...
Maybe you're just a broke-ass fanboy wh...
MMOs aren't really my cup of tea, but this is still awesome.
They're going to have to gimp the hell out of this game in order to get it running on consoles. Fingers crossed that they don't do the same to the PC version. I'm just about sick of DirectX 9 console ports with tacked-on DirectX 11 features such as tessellation. I want something that will make my CrossFire SCREAM for mercy!
