Well it's about fucking time we saw some ACTUAL gameplay.
FOUR FUCKING YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT and what does CD/SE finally unveil? UNCHARTED with fucking tits.
Good God, it's finally happened. We've finally arrived at the point of absolutely no originality in video games. Let's just copy and paste everything that sells well and hope the sheep buy it. Hope you like QTEs, 'cause this game is gonna be FULL of them (dog attack, rock climbing, etc...
@stragomccloud
I totally agree, and I'm the same way regarding multi-plat titles.
My comment was a satirical jab at gamers who want the next round of consoles to be able to do what today's high-end PCs can (which would run you $1,000 to $2,000 if you build it yourself) but only pay $300 to $400 for it.
Dream on.
NEWSFLASH: Sony AND Microsoft are in the red for this "generation". They can't keep selling h...
Most sensible comment I've read all day. Bubbles4U.
You can keep your shitty controls and jaggies for all I care. The only way to play FPS is on PC.
But they're still "hardcore" gamers right? ;)
You get what you pay for, folks.
Super Mario Bros. 3 still plays great to this day.

"For whatever reason Nintendo kinda abandoned the idea to encourage more of these devs to work for their system."
Long story short; Microsoft owns the PC OS market; Sony has more electronics divisions than I have fingers and toes, but Nintendo is a GAMING COMPANY ONLY.
In order to compete financially with the other two, Nintendo had to make a system that would generate a profit from the get-go, unlike Sony and Microsoft, ...
If their TV division was solely responsible for the amount of losses incurred, they would have cut production entirely.
The PS3 is doing okay now that the costs of production are reasonable, but back when it launched, Sony was losing more money than a drunken lottery winner vacationing in Vegas.
Sony as a whole has been doing shitty in recent years.
Wow, one year with losses and suddenly Nintendo needs "saving". What about Sony, which has lost over 80% of its net-worth as a company since the PS3 launched?
I'm only a few hours in on the PC version, but I'm loving every minute of it! Too bad R* closed down Team Bondi...
Climbing ladders and lighting torches (from the last "gameplay" trailer) is NOT GAMEPLAY!
It has been TWO. FUCKING. YEARS! Show some goddamn gameplay already!
Oh wait, they can't, because then you simpletons who can't see past graphics and journalistic hype would recognize this steaming pile of shit for the BLATANT CASH GRAB that it is using the Tomb Raider name. Square Enix doesn't even have enough faith in their own project to market this...
@tee_bag242
You don't care yet you took the time to tell everybody...
Sweet! I just picked up FIFA 12, Medal of Honor, Mirror's Edge (and all associated DLC) for under $40!
PC gaming rules.
$699???
Try $1699. At LEAST.
Agreed. Let's hope they don't get greedy and remember who made them what they are.
Stick to the formula, THQ.
Agreed. Some of its games are downright gorgeous on the Dolphin emulator when rendered @ 1080p!
"Hardcore" gaming started when broke-ass teenagers saw their grandparents playing games and needed to somehow elevate and separate themselves from those nasty "casuals" RME.
The CORRECT terms are "traditional" and "non-traditional" gamers. All this hardcore/casual nonsense is fucking stupid.
The author deserves an ass whooping for admitting to stealing a game from the PUBLIC (read: TAX PAYER FUNDED) library and then trading it in. Little bastard.
"2) Gamer who whine for something new BUT then whine about something new."
Agreed. I'm sick to death of so-called "gamers" using the word "gimmick" to dismiss anything new or original.I've been gaming for nearly 25 years and its high time we introduce some new gameplay mechanics. You can only do so much with the current crop of controllers.
EA should be fair and stop forcing Crytek to gimp Crysis 3 so it can run on the Shitbox 360 @sub-720p, 20 FPS with jaggies.
PC gamers MADE Crysis/Crytek the household name they are today.
