Wow, I guess you just refuse to listen, read, or do anything at all to wipe away ignorance. The 360 can display 1080p NATIVELY. If you don't believe the posters on this site, then do some research on your own. Again, the 360 can display 1080p NATIVELY.
Additionally, the 360 can output 1080p through both component and VGA. The problem that arises is that 1080p TVs don't commonly accept 1080p signals through analog, hence the need for an HDMI cable for the 360. The 360 does outpu...

I'm not so sure it's due totally to arrogance on Sony's part and the success of the 360 on MS's part that Sony is losing all of its exclusives. Sony financially has been in the red for awhile now. They are getting outsold on nearly all hardware fronts (except last gen game systems of course), they just lost a ton of money on a battery recall, and they've poured a ton of money into bluray and the cell. Many business analysts (although I think most analysts are morons) have said that if Bluray ...
All of the great, memorable shooters have at bare minimum, a solid story. One of the most integral reasons why Half Life and Halo are at the top of people's lists are because of their solid stories. Take for example, GRAW, which is a good shooter, but fails to take the next step because its story is not very memorable. Gears, while not quite on the same story telling level as Half Life or Halo, does have a solid enough story to keep the game near the top.
"You get what you pay for". As long as PNP is free, you will get a 'bare bones' network, just enough so Sony can say, 'hey, we got one too'. The advantages this article lists for LIVE all are due to the fact that LIVE is a unified network with unified services. This aspect costs money (resources, manpower, servers) and will be lacking from PNP until either Sony charges for it directly, or works the cost into the price of the console or games. Anyone who couldn't see this coming was ...
doesn't smash anything. In the 2007 column, there are still 6 titles for the 360 and 3 titles for the PS3. Kotaku doesn't know what these titles are any more than we do.
is quite as strong as you claim. In the end, people want better games and more of them. It doesn't really matter what company makes the console. What really matters is which console gives the better experience. Take Nintendo, for example. They were the king, to the point where the word 'Nintendo' stood for 'game system', as Klenex stands for tissue. However, Sony came along and no one thought at first that they would amount to anything compared to Nintendo. The PSone was a better console thou...
I'd like to see a link where Capcom said Lost Planet is coming to the PS3. The rumors of a couple months ago from 1up don't count, as Capcom promptly debunked those rumors by re-affirming Lost Planet's 360 exclusivity. I can produce many links that confirm that Lost Planet is still a 360 exclusive. If you've got some info that I've missed, do share.
even if it's just to match the other consoles' warranties.
are more than 6 million copies of Halo 2 sold. It is actually just over 8 million.
If this doorknob can't tell that online gaming has become one of the most integral parts of gaming, then he doesn't deserve the title 'analyst'. Additionally, it's quite obvious that MS has set the bar and is the one that's really carrying the torch for online gaming. As for the reason LIVE costs money, as others have mentioned, it's the unification of services. Every feature of LIVE is unified ...
PC gaming is WAY more expensive than console gaming. Console gaming is more user friendly. It's more comfortable to game while sitting on a couch looking at a big screen TV. There are many that prefer the controller over mouse and keyboard. Online play on the 360 is more unified than that on a PC.
These are all reasons why console gaming won't die out. In fact, many perceive console gaming as actually killing PC gaming as consoles have finally caught up to PCs in terms of power...
Sony fanboys have realized that the PS3 is a huge dissappointment. Sony, as a company, is getting spanked on all fronts, except one. Samsung is dominating Sony when it comes to TVs. Nintendo is significantly ahead in the portable market. Toshiba is winning the new optical format war. Sony Pictures has some of the lamest movies out there, with the possible exception of Spiderman 3. Most devestating for fanboys, however, is that Microsoft's next-gen console is putting Sony's to shame.

take shots at you. This is good for Gears. It's obvious Gears is the best game to hit the market in a long time and the sales back it up. It set the bar for video games, and the bigger, jealous companies like Ubisoft and EA are taking shots at it. It's just envy. Same with the Sony fanboys taking shots at it. Envy.
I like GRAW, but Gears is what GRAW was trying to be. GRAW tried to wow with graphics, but Gears puts it to shame. GRAW tried to wow with co-op, but Gears did it bet...
about being a fanboy is missing out on really good games because they're not on your holy grail of electronics. Sad, very sad.
I think this game looks cool.
They said that while certain games would work with one emulation, many others would not. Therefore they've had to do many. Sometimes they get quite a few games to work with one emulation (I'm assuming because those games were programmed in a very similar fashion). Other times they get very few games to work with one emulation. Nature of the beast, I guess, although I'm not knowledgable enough in this area to really say one way or the other. At least the 360 BC games upscale resolutions, thoug...
Why wasn't there a Saints Row limited edition pack that came with a forty?
and the tech people for that modem brand were outsourced from India. It was extremely difficult to talk tech with someone from India whom I could tell was just reading out of a how-to book in English. It took hours.
when the initial batch of 360s had overheating problems, the reports where all over, for months. On every gaming site, forum, and even the news on TV. These reports are hardly anywhere to be found. In fact, there was more buzz about Dead Rising supposedly killing consoles than this. Why would the outlets be basically devoid of all talk about this if it actually affected a fair amount of 360 users? Especially when every little thing is beat to death by users who find great joy in complaining, ...
is about half of Europe's. Europe's, in turn, is not even a third of N. America's. Overall, capturing the Japanese market is not even remotely necessary for becoming the console with the most worldwide market share. However, there are quite a few Japanese developers. Only recently have Japanese developers started focusing more on the worldwide market. If a Japanese developer only focuses on Japan, then this developer will most likely not develop for a console that sells poorly in Japan (ie. t...
