They're really moving like a snail on this game. Then again, it looked horrid when I last saw it, so it obviously needs a LOT of work.

The fan gets pretty crazy sometimes. God of War's map really triggered my Pro. It literally made me not want to go into the map in God of War. It also tends to go into 'airport mode' when I go from in-game to dashboard.

It's not a pleasant sound.

This guy's a simple salesman, nothing more. I know it's going to take awhile to get those games in the pipeline out there (if they're in the pipeline at all) but you could show us some of the work these studios are doing. Let us know that these aren't just the words of a suit.

Throw us a little meat, and you may renew some of that lost faith.

This is likely to remain my theme until the next PlayStation.

After some pretty great months, PS+ is entitled to a month of meh.

Glad I have a nice Seagate external. That's high though. Wonder what the file size for the X is.

The "lead platform" refers to the Xbox family of consoles. PlayStation has absolutely nothing to do with this, and you have no idea what you're talking about.

That opening shot was a sight to behold.

I think you're right.

If Rockstar can do what they did with GTAV, and apply that same pedigree here, to RDR2, we're definitely looking at GotY. GTAV was so full of activities, and had a great story with an awesome world that felt lived in. Not to mention a stellar multi-player.

The Western setting may make it a little more niche, though, and that's a reason RDR2 may not reach the heights GTAV did.

When you have a studio dedicated to a single platform, the results can be amazing. Not at all saying multi-plats can't be great (hell they're some of the best) but it's obviously easier and more efficient for the team, and their focus isn't spread. It's laser.

Normally I'd be annoyed with such a flagrant display of agenda pushing, but this is The Last of Us Part II. No, I'm not a bigot, and I'm actually socially liberal, but even I'm annoyed when things are so clearly forced. That being said, I don't believe the studio has lost focus on the game, just because they're catering to a certain demographic. You can do both. Especially a studio as talented as Naughty Dog.

Interesting. I haven't really paid attention to Xbox news for quite some time, even though the X is my platform of choice for multi-plats, much to the chagrin of some. Mainly because aside from the acquisition of studios, I haven't heard much in the way of Microsoft's games.

Hope some of these surprises are substantial.

Replying to Carl, I made a cogent argument regarding the state of things on this site, and he replied to the effect of "No it isn't! You're wrong!" Lacking a solid rebuttal, he blocked me like a coward.

Now he's going to talk about "crying" when challenged. I'm not even an Xbox fanboy as he alleges. In fact, I despise fanboyism, but I also despise the current, lopsided climate here on N4G.

That said, I still enjoy the ...

I think of how much content GTAV had, and how much there was to do, and how 'lived in' the city felt, and then I think of how they could apply that and a lot more to THIS game. I think we're in for a real damn treat with this game.

What does it look like I'm talking about? I'm saying that if The Last Guardian is anything like Shadow of The Colossus in terms of difficulty and intensity, that's a very good thing.

I guess I'm looking for someone to let me know if the two games share these similarities.

Believe me, dude, I hear you. Honestly, I thought GoW was great, but it definitely wasn't perfect. The sections where you had to stop the gas with your axe were particularly annoying. For me, they disrupted the continuity and flow of the game. I did like the puzzle sections though. Nearly everything was done well in God of War.

I've been gaming since the early 80's and I agree. I don't know if they can top that first masterpiece. That's one tall order. In any case, it's sure to be excellent.

TLoUII. My single most anticipated item in gaming. The Last of Us was just excellent. The MP surprised me with its brilliance too.
