Another glowing review. Excellent.
I tend to agree that IGN isn't very credible, but I DO think that Brandin Tyrrel (the IGN reviewer here) IS. I've agreed with him on damn near everything. He reviewed Bloodborne (gave it a 9.1) and I certainly can't disagree with that. I'm always in agreement with him, so I'll believe him on this one too.
Overall, it looks to be about an 8 to me, which is fine. I loved Origins and I'm sure I'll dump just as many hours if not more into this. Games don't have to be 9s or 10s for me to love them.
Already pre-ordered.
Never liked Fortnite, don't care about cross-play.
Feudal Japan? I just want to climb Zeus's dick.
I'd say 1% (maybe even less) of consumers give a tuppenny fuck about cross-play. They're not even cross-play conscious. This shit isn't on their radar. Nobody's thinking about it. It's off in some distant galaxy. I know that. You know that.
Can we all agree that an 'article' about the inclusion of a sticker is silly?
Alright.
Agreed. I mean, if I suddenly develop ass cancer (life happens that way) you can be damn sure I'm going to contact Sony and Naughty Dog and plead for a copy of whatever they've got.
He's in the game. That much we know. I don't need to play as him, though. Ellie will do just fine. Sure, 'brute force' Joel was a heck of a lot of fun. Brawling with humans and infected alike. It was great. Ellie's combat though, seems more challenging due to her being physically weaker.
Ellie can still thrash, but I think we're going to approach engagements even more cautiously than we did with Joel, which is awesome.
That's another thing I'm looking forward to. The soundtrack of this game. The soundtrack to the first game was great, and you know they're going to knock it out of the park with this one.
Because let's face it. That was very corny.
It's a rarity for open-world games to be graphical powerhouses, I find. They're usually rife with low-res textures, duplicate, dead-eyed NPCs, etc. Most of it is hardware limitation and engine related. Now, there are still some visually arresting open, and semi-open world games, but they're rare.
Overall, I think this game looks good in the visuals dept. More importantly, it certainly looks fun, and huge, with plenty to do and consider. Loved Origins. Probably g...
Disagrees are trivial, but they do highlight a much bigger problem.
The Aaron Greenberg article the other day was one of the most insane examples I've ever seen here. They tore that dude apart like sharks in a feeding frenzy. There was valid criticism, rightful skepticism, and wariness, but the rest was just cult-like opposition and hate taken to an extreme surprising even for N4G.
The writer had to. If you're going to be honest in this discussion, you can't exclude Halo 2. It's just not possible.
I think Halo 2 made a profound impact on the FPS genre, forever shaping the FPS genre on console. Xbox Live was just burgeoning back then, and its integration with Halo 2 made the game so compelling as a whole. Halo 2 was the first time so many of us put on a headset and jumped into an online multi-player game.
Those were some of the best days and nights of gaming I've ever had. Never forget those.
Looking forward to this one. I dumped so many hours into Origins, and enjoyed each one. I have no doubt after seeing numerous videos that this game will take that quality even higher.
Good on Microsoft. They did a great job with Game Pass.
I'm pretty tired of hearing about "Feudal Japan." I hope it never happens now. Just to piss people off.
