In terms of violence, I agree.
I think they're both fantastic, honestly.
Gave you blood clots?
I sure hope so, he was the lead architect on the damn thing.
What's Berserk? Aside from most of the people on this site? Never heard of it.
It isn't a lie. Eyes don't lie. I'm a straight, honest, yet still flawed person. What I see, on N4G, on a daily basis, is Microsoft getting absolutely reamed. Anytime there's a victory for Microsoft, whether it's big or small, it gets completely lambasted by disagrees, and unfair and dishonest feedback from the Sony crowd. That's the state of this site, and it's ridiculous.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, until it penetrates a...
Stable? Is this plane stable? Are we evened out? Flight 629 to Tower, we're more stable than we've been this whole five year flight.
Fans will always have a 'tilt' and because of that, their intellectual honesty is impaired to a degree. They're more likely to ignore negative aspects of a game if they feel there's more to like, or simply because they love the lore of Lara Croft, Spider-Man, or any dear character.
That said, video games should be reviewed by players who have lots of knowledge of what make platforming, puzzle solving, driving, shooting, etc, great.
This is...
This is one of the best and most honest reviews I've ever read. I could sense that the author was being honest, and not trying to slam something for the sake of it. He likes what he likes and doesn't like what he doesn't like, and he conveys that intelligently. Good review.
They're not "suddenly" a plague. They've been a boring, tedious way to pad games for quite awhile now, and Spider-Man is no different just because swinging or combat is 'so well done.' Your argument is that since the essential Spider-Man'ness of the game (swinging and combat) is executed so well, and is so well polished, we should overlook the not-so-hot aspects and act like they don't exist. I'm sorry but that just completely flies in the face of intelle...
He could also use the reminder that after years of arguable stagnation and mediocrity, AC Origins ushered in a certain freshness. The game wasn't perfect, but most would see that it gave the series a much needed improvement. With this being the case, they're naturally going to focus on that freshness instead of any shortcomings.
Spider-Man games were always their own. They were never part of a series. None ever hinging off another. Never annualized, etc. So the prai...
Except the Nintendo community is nowhere near the Sony community on the rabidity scale. Especially on this site. His joke had some truth to it. When you tried to flip it, it lost truth.
Theh iz noh engineering like Gehman engineering!
Now there's a rational, reasonable answer.
You're kidding. AC has been a punching bag for years, and in most cases, rightfully so. Not every review of a Sony exclusive is going to be glowing. Not every review of any game is going to be glowing. You can't get mad when reviewers throw out some 7s just because you personally think the game is incredible. If that person found it 'good' at best, then that's what happened. You seem to think that everyone has to push out an 8, 9, or 10. They don't. They can actually j...
I think what the author wants is something completely brand new. He has little respect for polish or Insomniac traditions or specialties. He wants a groundbreaking, mold-breaking game. He's at fault for his expectations, and this stupid article.
I'm more excited about a coffee mug I ordered on Amazon.
That's a very good point to make, and may explain why the X is slightly worse in 30fps mode.
Not many studios can beat Naughty Dog when it comes to visuals. Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy are two of the best looking games I've ever played. They may even be the best.
That said, I surely don't expect any third party titles (especially within the same gen) to look better than those two.
I love what they've done with the game's systems. Looks like another 100%'er like Shadow.
