The 3DS is a full fledged successor to the DS, just like the PS Vita is to the PSP :|
Except no, it isn't late, and it *does* do things that haven't been done before. Individual components of the game have been done by other games previously, sure, but no game has actually done all of it together, and done it as well. THAT'S why people praise the damn game. Because it brings together individual 'immersive sim' elements into one game, and makes all the systems interact exceptionally well.
What technical problems are you talking about? Fra...
7/10? I can't wait for the DDoS ;P
No it's not, and anyone who has actually played the game would know that.
Regardless, I'm going to take the word of actual developers - including ones not in this article, who've openly acknowledged BotW before, including Ken Levine, Telltale Games, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, and Neil Druckmann - than I will the word of a random N4G poster.
I don't understand why there is this constant need and necessity some feel to downplay this game. Lik...
It's not hard for Nintendo.
That said, I agree. Sony is doing exceptionally well with home consoles- that's its forte, and what it should stick to. Just like handhelds are Nintendo's forte, and what they should stick to :)
Nothing is likely to beat Zelda out there.
Persona 5, hopefully (although I adore Zelda too)
Nah
Good news, they aren't being asked to. This is a lame, poor, misleading headline.
The Switch is on fire. Good job Nintendo, please keep up the momentum by releasing some great games.
Is Forza 7 really a sequel?
Yep, just another example of how amazing the attention to detail is in this game :)
I think it's as a handheld device that the Switch's true appeal will come through- and Nintendo handhelds ALWAYS sell well. I expect at least 3DS level sales from the Switch.
No, since I ran into none of them.
I agree
@thekhurg, a problem according to whom? The weapon durability in the game works wonderfully, and is a central mechanic to the game. The game literally could not exist the way it does without the durability. People who criticize weapon durability without getting into a more in depth explanation than 'but my weapons are meaningless!' are betraying a lack of understanding of game design, which in Zelda, *does want you to treat your weapons as dispensable*.

lol at the clickbait headline.
Any major new electronics product will have issues- my Switch has held up just fine to a month of pretty hefty abuse.
Literally only tree branches and rusted swords break that fast. Sounds like your only exposure to the game was Jim Sterling's review.
Amazing that this won't get the traction on N4G, while a 7/10 will.
Ah, I see.
Possibly, but Sony has never had much success with handhelds, and I don't know how they would do in a greatly diminished market for handheld systems...
