I know, and I agree completely. Although remember that a long development time isnt always equal to a better game. Conviction took so long to develop, but it turned out to be one of the worst Splinter Cell games. Damn, I just wish they'd stuck with what makes the series so good in the first place :(

Going by the sheer quality of the Professor Layton games, I think it's reasonable to suggest that this game will be unforgettable as well.

Frankly, I'm kind of relieved. I mean, Assassin's Creed is really one of my favourite games franchises this generation, and I really wouldn't want it to be milked to the extent of utter saturation. It's nice to see that Ubisoft have a level head on their shoulders, and that they plan on using the liscense judiciously.

Did Sony ever profess to supporting PC gaming in the first place? Have they ever had any pretensions about that?

Yes, Alan Wake is a prime example of how Microsoft shafts PC Gamers. Although Fable III seems to be their effort to make ammends.

This is so ironic... seriously, I mean, I hated Microsoft and PC gaming the day they killed off Ensemble.

Remedy made Too Human? Really?
And Alan Wake is NOT a flop, it's a wonderful game that will continue to sell. Are you just annoyed that the 360 outsold your precious PS3?

Whereas you are technically correect (since HD is a trademark, and it has certain defined standards), hi definition as a general term used to define graphics is perfectly applicable in this situation as well.

I'm very sure that if a game figures in the Top 10, it sold well. And who knows? This game might have legs, it might sell more over a prolonged period of time. Look at GTA Chinatown Wars. It debuted dismally, but ultimately ended up selling in excess of a million copies on the DS alone.

I'm overall happy, since all the games that deserved good sales figure in the Top 10. We have Red Dead Redemption, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Alan Wake and Pokemon SoulSilver, all shifting enough units to make an apperance in the Top 10 selling software in the US for the month of May. That's a good thing.

Also, the fact that Alan Wake is at No. 8 should put those 'Alan Wake has flopped' rumours to rest once and for all.

Man, I'm so looking forward to this game. The first one was awesome, and this one looks like it might blow it away.

Although I found Modern Warfare 2 to be a MAJOR disappointment, I WILL be getting Black Ops, if only because it looks like the most awesome Call of Duty ever (no mean feat) and because I like Treyarch and want to support them.

How the Genesis was always perceived to be the cooler and the more powerful console. Whereas the former has a lot to do with marketting and personal opinion, the latter was just plain wrong, since the SNES was so much more powerful than the Genesis/Mega Drive.
Of course, none of that really mattered. Both the consoles got excellent games, their libraries are nearly untouchable even today.
Ah, those were the golden days of gaming...

Really? Why is it that only Nintendo are called for repeated hardware revisions when Sony are also guilty of the same thing?
The DS has had the original DS (Phat), DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL. The PSP has had the PSP, the PSP 2000 (Slim and Lite), the PSP 3000 and the PSP Go.
And the DS totally vanquished the PSP, sorry. It's sold less than half of what the DS has sold (the DS is at 130 million sold worldwide, the PSP is at 60 million), it has dismal software sales (the PSP ...

The 3DS is clearly going to capitalise on the 100 million strong casual base it has already built over the last five years, AND it is also clearly targetting the core gamer. The way I see it, this thing will have unbelievable sales. I mean, casuals AND core gamers will be flocking to this thing. Even people who aren't interested in handhelds have admitted to be enticed by the 3DS.
I dunno, it may sound like a bit of a stretch now, but the 3DS might even end up crossing the 200 mi...

not really. as you can say, the article specifically mentions the 3DS version as the one that will be able to link up with the Xbox 360 version of SR3. Just read the entire thing, it'll be clear.
