No Zelda makes this list trash from the get go
I imagine he is talking about transparency here. There is no beating around the bush, the numbers for all their products, high and low selling, are presented without anything being distorted or hidden. Sony with the PS3 and PS Vita and Microsoft with the Xbox One have a history of hiding numbers when it suits them.
@Foxtrot, I would hope that for MG1 and MG2, they just keep the same story, but change the actual gameplay and structure entirely. Make them more TPP-esque. More of a reimagining than a remake, if that makes sense.
The article isn't about that at all, and it even addresses the point you are raising.
The article is simply saying that given Xbox's relative insignificance to Microsoft overall, compared to PlayStation's significance to Sony as a whole, Microsoft can go more nuts with Xbox than Sony can with the PS4. That's all. That's it.
This is brilliant.
I think at this point, all saltiness about there being no NX at E3 aside, we can safely assume that one way or the other, Nintendo's E3 strategy worked, and was validated. You can try pulling up hypothetical counterfactuals and what-ifs all you want, but there's no point second guessing something that unequivocally appears to have worked,
My problem with Skyward Sword aren't just limited to the motion controls, though those certainly contribute to my disdain for it. My problems are intrinsically with how that game was designed.
Thankfully, it looks like BotW is going in the opposite direction from it, so I don't have to worry about SS much longer.
Can't think of a game that deserves it more. This is the most excited I have been for Zelda in over a decade. I hope the final game lives up to this promise.
The thing that will set Zelda apart, as always, will be the Nintendo charm, polish, and the attention to details that other games would not bother with. That, plus Nintendo bringing their game and level design chops, and applying them to an entire world that is 360 square kilometers in size, is hugely exciting, and will be what makes Zelda a class apart.
I am excited for Zelda for the first time in a decade. What a rebound this game looks to be after the disaster that was Skyward Swo...
I think Zelda will be dominating all conversation around E3 for a while now.
I don't think Nintendo went out of business because they offered 3DS to New 3DS trade ins, do you?
And yet this is not unprecedented, Nintendo did this exact same thing with the New 3DS, and they offered a trade in program just fine.
Actually, Nintendo has with the 3DS and New 3DS
Just a reminder that the PSVR with PS Move and Camera costs $500 by itself. There is absolutely no way that the PSVR, PLUS the PS4K, will cost just $500. It's a foolish fantasy.
And then there is the 3DS, which has sold all of 60 million units...
I love clairvoyance. Have you had it since birth, or is it something you acquired through rigorous training?
I'm not sure what your problem is, when the article very clearly and explicitly points out that the Xbox One is a success in its own right, too. Are you just sore in general, and you decided to take it out here?
@Loktai: you mean just like the Wii U?
The article flat out states, multiple times, that it is a rumor. What the hell are you going on about?
The article refers to the game as Red Dead 3. The headline refers to it as Red Dead Redemption 2 to minimize confusion.
