+bubble for not being a fanboy
Hopefully we see it March or April, but I'll probably have too many games.. will probably check it out during the gaming off-season.
Does anyone know if the damage in GT5 affects the car's performance like it does in Forza? thanks.
Is Shift really that good? I hate admitting this, but I bought the last NFS without looking at reviews first... I vowed never to buy another one again.
The gameplay is solid. The crash physics and damage were obviously more of an afterthought... and since it actually affects your car, I doubt people will be playing it like burnout. I wonder if I'll be able to make any decent decals. Can you turn them off online? I don't want to race against penis cars.
I just played the demo with sim damage on and it looks exactly like the eurogamer video.

You can watch him set it to simulation damage and then crash head on with another car. The most I was able to do was make the bumper come off. I did like how much it affected how my car performs, though. After crashing it several times, it was almost impossible to race.
Are there any videos showing the "sim" damage since people are saying this is the casual setting.
Why wouldn't they want to demonstrate the proper damage in their demo?
EDIT: can someone answer my question instead of disagreeing with me... honestly, what are you even disagreeing with?
@below: fixing to start up the demo... can you change from casual to simulation damage in it?
EDIT 2: Ok, finished playing it. The damage in these vi...
@FiftyFourPointTwo
Neither of those are confirmed for '10 as far as I know. If they are, great.
@Why dis
The only one on your list I forgot is Crackdown 2 (can't believe I forgot it since the original is one of my favorite games this gen). I'd go back and edit it if I could. Anyways, all the rest are multiplats. Also, MS wouldn't wait to announce a game the same year it releases unless it's a big franchise (Halo, GeoW, Forza, Fable). Well, the only possibility out of ...
"full damage isn't turned one"
Are full physics not turned on, either? Cause they're worse than the damage. I don't even care about the damage, but I didn't know that doing car cartwheels is what makes a definitive sim racer.
"i like how people talk trash about a game they have never played or like and then they try defend their "crappy forza sucks" reasoning...god grow up and move out of your shell and open your eyes..hypocrites got to love them"
You've done a lot of GT5 bashing in this story... you've played it already???
Did you not watch the video? He ran into a wall at 210 k/h and had some scratches on his hood.
I didn't want to start any flaming, but since you took the initiative, I'll add my 2 cents..
I hope this isn't what all the 360 fanboys have been bragging about. I still need to download the demo and see for myself, but the GT5 damage video from E3 was more impressive. The physics aren't nearly as good as everyone has been going on about... neither is the damage modeling. In fact, all I'm seeing are scratch textures randomly applied to the cars with a busted window occasionally. ...
Too bad I won't be able to get the full experience since I never crash =)
Yeah, TGS is usually pretty disappointing.
This has been a PS project for several years (PSeye)
I don't really expect people to agree, but that Splinter Cell trailer did nothing for me.
He's upset that he's already done with his GOTY.
Natal yoga or pilates lolol.. I don't see it being a hit, but you never know.
Didn't Sony sell 1 million PS3s in the last 3 weeks? Does that mean MS didn't sell a single console if the lead was decreased by a million?
I think we all know that MS could just release Halo and Gears games and still do quite well.
You never know....
At least Alan Wake is coming next year.
Yeah wtf.. what possessed you to even think of that?
And honestly, I think it looks more like Cruisin' USA. =P Forza 3 really does look better in motion, though. Those pics weren't flattering at all.
