"But I will have my Beer and popcorn ready and thinking about the Destuctoid article. LOL"
What does that mean?
Yeah, what's important is what's written. I don't really mind the scores, but they seem so arbitrary when it's on a scale of 1-100. What's the difference between a 92 and a 93?
I can understand 1-5 stars.. 1 = must buy, 2 = very good, etc
I guess gamereactor believes the whole is LESS than the sum of its parts.
Yeah, I'll be getting it, too.. I just hope people who may not read many other review sites don't see it got in 8 from gamereactor and decide not to try it.
lol, look at the negatives:
"Classic adventure, too much fighting"
"A decent score for a game."
You think the strongest GOTY contender deserves a "decent" score?
Well, they gave the original Uncharted a 9 and the sequel an 8, so yes..
They gave the original a 9 in gameplay but the sequel an 8?
Definitive ninja game of this gen?
lol... I wouldn't just go out and buy it book on a whim. Reading it will take a pretty serious commitment.
In other words, it's not light reading.
These are from the TGS trailer, which look better IMO than the E3 demo.
"Ever since the GTA4 fiasco everyone is scared to give a game a 10."
...unless it's a big franchise with a big enough ad campaign. If ODST got 9s, you can bet Reach will get 10s. It's hard to say if God of War 3 will get 10s since reviewers can take points off for no multiplayer or "stale gameplay"
Why isn't the title "People wait 150 minutes to play Left 4 Dead 2", considering it says that's how long the wait was?
jk, I know why... not as catchy, especially for destructoid.
If ODST got 9s from some major sites, they'll have to give Forza like an 11.
"PHYSICAL damage is one of the things that separates Forza and GT."
Physical damage is in GT5. And there are definitely fanboys who (used to) brag about the GRAPHICAL damage. Go back and look at the GT5 gamescom videos.
Nice to see that the damage in GT5 affects your car's performance like it does in Forza 3.
"Now, for starters, there's going to be deformation damage -- scratches and stuff -- for all normal cars, but race cars are going to take hits hard in a way that will cause doors and side panels to tear completely off."
Looks like it will have Forza 3 damage for the normal cars, and some additional damage for the race cars.
"In a world..."
Those of you getting this for the strategy guide are pussies.
Just noticed it got a 60 from gamervision for being too hard =(
All of those pics (Forza & GT5) are pre-rendered... neither game will be able to have anti-aliasing like that. The big difference is the GT5 shots will look close based off GT5s graphics. I guess you haven't played the Forza demo yet, cause those pics you linked look nothing like it.
"So which one is it, Sony fanboys? Are we discounting small, independent site now, that a AAA Sony game is getting a above avg. score."
Wow, congratulations.. you've discovered that fanboys are illogical!
And don't act like 360 fanboys are any better. Just because there are less 360 fanboys than PS3 fanboys here doesn't make them any better.
