They'll release a psp2 and it won't have piracy problems. Which means it will quickly become a very profitable and supported system with lots of games.
The thing that mainly holds the psp back is piracy keeping good devs away.
Aside from recently with some games but the amount of game's for it is still pretty lacking. It only gets the great game's it's been getting because sony is putting up the cash to support it.

I'm going to get it. I really don't have a problem with games not working after the subscription goes. I have a ton of psn titles on my drive right now that I don't ever play. No point in more than renting them really.

Even in uncharted 2 though I like talking to my team mates and opponents. Best way to make new gaming friends to group with.
I do see your point but if you buy a brand new car aside from getting regular maintenance done nothing should break on it in the first couple of years.
Though in the case of my comment I was referring to issues similar in scope that would require the company to issue an extended warranty and replace parts for free because they screwed up.

Errr didn't look that bad on my tv at 1080. Noticed some artefacts when there was lots of stuff on screen but nothing terrible.

I've heard for fps and fighting games it has more lag though. Also that colours are a bit washed out from the compression.

except for there being a thousand cars. Which is like 800 more than most games.
I played forza just the other day. Yeah totally not a driving simulator. Driving was pretty arcade style with a bit of realness on the side like a salad.
Also it just looked like a game, and played like a game.
Even gran turismo on the psp (which is the best driving game out atm) felt like driving real cars. I drove a car I owned and it handled damn near perfectly like my car it was amazing.
*I melted the graphics chip in mine once. Just a little. Ran it 24/7 for nearly a year in a warm room in a small space.
Was getting super pixels in all my games. Super pixels are giant long pixels that skew across the screen.
Was under warranty so they replaced on the free. The replacement's been going great ever since.
