I don't get any kind of disk protection as blurays are scratch resistant. Also I generally just buy my games new, I was only just sayin.
@postedup. No see if they were both the same game more copies would be sold of the 40 dollar one hands down. If all games were forty people would go out to a store and likely buy two games vs the one they buy at 60. More people would buy 40 dollar games just because they would have more money to spend on more games. Also more people would feel inclined to buy more new games at such a price when they first come out as opposed to waiting for them to come down in price.
xvideo lol
Thats the other side, they shouldn't be getting all that money either. Publishers need to charge less and devs need to be cut in on used games.
huh?
This article was about consoles not being used to watch dvd's on.
Anybody remember 17 years ago or so when they were said watching the power rangers made people violent?
"Though the majority (80%) own a console capable of playing DVDs, only 30% stated that they owned a console that it actually enabled DVD playback – a fact that demonstrates how poorly many consumers understand the capabilities of today’s game consoles and a major barrier to persuading consumers to start using these platforms for non-gaming media consumption. "
So basically 70% of console owners are idiots. Good to know.
Any good businessman knows that lower prices increases sales. People buy used games because new games at 60 bucks a pop is too much.
Say all you want about them not making enough from selling them for less but if they sold 3 cheaper games for every one expensive game it would add up to more.
It probably allows for wifi if your fairly close to one of the server farms.
I like that move game where you have a sword and shield (in the demo I saw) and you just attack the other character. No boxed motions attached to gestures. Real 1 to one movements of swinging or blocking.
In the past two decades instances of violent crime has steadily decreased.
I'm of the opinion that having an outlet for the violent urges that are natural to humans is responsible for this.
Just as the prevalence of free available pornography is probably responsible for the decreasing frequency of sex crimes.
"I really think that OnLive is shooting themselves straight in the foot and then in the testicles with this decision."
haha yeah...
Too many times have I bought a game based on a trailer and then when I started playing I was very very unhappy with the product.
Thing is many times the trailer shows something completely different than the game, or focuses on a small part of it that is really good.
It's even like that with demo's.
Doubled post
I'd rather play it with the move. Too bad lionhead is first party for M$
They were good but I didn't feel compelled to complete them. Played for a couple days then moved onto something else
Making games is an art form. Games are art.
They are a creative visual multi format medium for communicating thoughts and ideas.
I love those games.
Last games made by lionshead that I actually liked for more than two days.
I usually make up my mind about the game before I read a review, based on previews and what not.
Generally though yeah 7 or lower doesn't cut it. I'd rather spend my money(and time) on a better rated game that comes out around the same time.
Maybe if I had more disposable income...
What I take away from this is the thought I've had since 3d started to appear. Stereoscopic sucks.
They are however working on autostereoscopic displays, which I am totally sure will work with all these 3d games when they arrive.
Personally I think we'll only go through 2 or 3 years of tv's that use glasses before glasses free ones start to appear on the market.
I've read of companies working on televisions with 60 and 120 some odd 3D viewing ...
