"the combat system has been simplified"..."I think the DmC haters will finally shut up because the demo proved them wrong".
The former statement is the very reason the latter is wrong.
FANS DONT WANT SIMPLIFIED COMBAT!
@_LarZen_
How can someone click disagree with your comment? Its a FACT, not an opinion.
What Nintendo fan claimed this was the best launch line up ever? I havent heard that (the line up clearly sucked, even before the review scores). That said, stop bringing up specs to claim the wiiU sucks. When the current gen begun, sony fanboys brought that up, and it ended up making no difference except for a few exclusives (arguably).
Furthermore, stop saying Nintendo tricks the consumers. They try to sell their products like any other company. If you buy them or not its...
Certanly not until I see what nintendo has in store for the next zelda. That and Bayonetta 2. Funny how some people are already judging the console by its launch lineup
(A good) Pokemon? On a home console? Dont bet on it.
Have you seen the video? They scraped most of the changes they made and brought back NG2 gameplay. Of course it means its a better game now, but to me it seems a bit lazy to improve NG3 by turning it into NG2.5
Its not free unless you pre-order at gamestop. That statement is just more BS from NT
@Sevir
This isnt extra weapons or early power ups. We are talking about an iconic franchise character being playable, and possibly new missions, being annouced months before the games release. If rockstar had announced "The lost and tha damned", and "the ballad of gay Tony" months before launch, GTA fans would be just as pissed.
Besides, you assume (like many others, including NT) that the problem with DmC is nothing more than the new...
This is what im talking about. A guy with clearly mediocre skills is able to sustain himself in the air for around a minute, away from any harm, and barely gets hit in the entire demo. Where is the challenge DMC was once known for?
The enemies are slow and are very few of them on screen. That grappling is inspired by Neros devil arm, when Dantes trickster style is much faster and useful. Say what you want about the changing environments, and a more serious story, but please dont say ...
If GTA IV is any indication, sadly we will have to wait until the game comes out :(
who said anything about it being pre-rendered?
@Blackdeath
I couldnt agree more. One of the many issues I had with DMC4 was the lack of the gothic theme. The combat in DmC might look good to someone that never played Devil May Cry 3(or even 4), or only scratched the surface of the system, but to someone that invested in the combat before, it doesnt look good.
@Hanso
What DMC4 did for combat was allow on-the-fly style switching for Dante(which is a great step forward). However, the s...
The whole "appeal to western audience" is just a ridiculous marketing strategy. What they want is a franchise that they can release annualy and make tons of money, just like COD. They tried the same thing with RE and look what happened. Capcom makes me sick. Western gamers enjoy eastern games, but you just cant expect COD sales.
I own a 360 and I think this game is going to be crap. Its my opinion after what Ive seen from the game (Dantes new look is the least of the games problems). If someone has a ridiculous fanboy biased opinion here, its not me.
Its all self marketing. His looks, his statements, his appearences... All of that made him stand out as a well known developer, but you cant deny the guy has talent. Itagaki did the exact same thing before him.
Looks awesome. Great graphics, huge, varied environments, and interesting characters. Sadly, if GTAIV is any indication, we will have to wait until the game is released to see how the new mechanics play out.
@AC130
NO MORE CAPS LOCK!
Do we really need to instigate this? We have enough fanboy wars already. Let each enjoy what suits him best.
So what this guy is saying is that, to be considered art, a game has to take away player freedom and interaction, so that it plays the way the creator wants it to. In that case, you can keep your art, and I keep my games.
Wait for the PC version... besides, if you are a nintendo fan, you should be used to not having GTA in your console (I dont mean it in a bad way, but your comment intrigued me, cuz nintendo just doesnt have GTA in their home consoles)
