No.
If the gender of the lead is so important, go play Bayonetta, for fucks sake. So we have a fantastic character action franchise, from the same creator of DMC, with pretty much a female take on Dante as the lead, and you still want to change devil may cry? Get out of here.
DMC almost died from trying to "westernize" it. Here's hoping capcom doesn't make the same mistake of trying to cater to people that don't really care about their games to begin with.
Have you seen some of the costumes in SFV? Or some of the female characters in Guilty Gear or Soul Calibur?Mai has been there in KOF for how many years now? Yes, DOA goes a bit harder on perversion than most, but it gets so much shit for it when virtually every sucessfull fighting franchise does it too. Sex sells, it's that simple.
Hopefully it lives up to kojima's legacy. The silent hills cancel still hurts my soul. Fuck you konami
Played it after the bugs were patched, and i actually liked it. Granted it was way after release and my expectations were very low. The gameplay was solid, and they expanded the exploration a lot. But for people that played the original trilogy, the story is very meh, they introduce only 2 new races, and left out quarians when tali is one of the most beloved characters of the original trilogy.
it was a good game. Had good combat, and some cool ideas with the environment. But it was a terrible Devil May Cry.
They took a huge dump on beloved characters. Made changes to a combat system that didn't need much changing just for the sake of being different. Graphics looked way worse than the previous game, and it ran at 30 fps. And then there was Ninja Theory essentially flipping off the fanbase before the game's launch (if you followed the news back then you will know).

This is one of the thigs that bother me in the industry nowdays. This pursuit of pointless realism over making the game actually fun. If I wanted a real life experience, I would... go outside or something...
FFXV's battle system was straight garbage though. But to each their own
Long story short, Itagaki, the brain behind the series left, and the team had no idea what to do with the franchise. NG3 sucked, then they slapped the ninja gaiden name and Ryu into another awful game that had nothing to do with ninja gaiden. Then they made Nioh, and it was met with acclaim, so they jumped ship.
Team Ninja isn't a huge developer, and for some reason, they seem set on keep making borderline hentai games. So I think as long as Nioh is successful, they're stick...
I always take reviews that bash difficulty and combat systems with a grain of salt. A lot of journalists just suck at actually playing the games
It speaks to the track record of SE, and how much their fans are willing to put up with, when a game announced more than 3 years ago, and virtually nothing to show for "hasn't been too long"
It goes like this:
1 - SE cant finish their games in a reasonable amount of time, gets stuck in development hell.
2 - Releases an unfinished game (FFXV) charging full price. Reviewers give it good scores, people buy it.
3 - They start doing patches and DLC for things that should be in the game to begin with. People that want a complete experience out of the game buy them.
4 - SE goes "wow, people are actually still paying for us to finish this game. ...
Maybe the disagrees come from the fact you are being arrogant yet completely missed the point of the article. Nowhere it said the game was bad. No one is questioning the effort and technical archievement. The point here is "realism" x fun, and that having more scripted events might not be the proper way games should attempt immersion going forward
I like how you guys actually take these claims seriously.
Interviewers asks what Itsuno thought of the partnership with Ninja Theory. Obviously he will go with the nice guy response and praise them.
But to conclude Capcom wants to make a sequel to a game that sold well below expectations, pissed off an entire fanbase, and was an overall PR disaster is just stupid. If they wanted to, they would have done it already. DMC5 exists because DmC flopped and they have no interest in...
You're actually being very optimistic, lul. If we get something at sony's conference, I'd say 2020 on ps5.
I'm a ps4 owner and that conference was great. No rock shows, no dance numbers, minimal bad jokes. Just a bunch of games. Yes, most of the excitement comes from multiplats, but the conference itself was as good as they come
I'm just glad more people will get to experience this masterpiece
Are you looking at the same company I am. Sure missteps happen here and there, but this is the THIRD time this happens to one of their most hyped titles. FFXV, KH3, and now this. This is not acceptable. And no, square enix isn't making sure the games are being the best they can be. FFXV was released in an rushed out, unfinished state, with plot holes designed to sell DLC.
Out of all the things they could add/change about this game's story, why the ending? The ending was, imo, the only emotional, and well done part. How about a better intro so we dont have to watch a shitty movie? How about better character backstories so we dont have to watch a shitty anime? How about the relationship between noctis and his father, heavily hinted at by the trailers and completely absent from the final product? How about clarifying the main villain's backstory, so we ...
It got the hate that it got because it was released in an obviously incomplete state. The story is just a mess, with parts intentionaly left out to sell dlc, and outsorcing the backstory to a movie and anime. The difficulty is a joke, you're basically immortal as long as you have items, and the quests are the most uninspired and the camera is one of the worst ive seen in a long time. The magic system is useless most of the time, the not to mention how linear the last stretch of the game i...
