We need to support good games. That's it
As shown by the constant updates on FFVII Remake and KH3... No, wait...
still amazed this started out as a 1 man project. Combat looks incredible. I REALLY hope this will see a release in the near future. Curious to see the world and story
I like how every negative comment instantly gets dismissed as troll or xbox fanboy lol. Guess n4g comments will always be a fanboy warzone sadly.
I have a ps4 and beat every god of war game, but I'm still not sold. I'm sure this game will be great by it's own merits, but it just doesn't look like gow, thats just a fact. They were obviously going for a dark souls style, and we had so many of those lately... Probably could have been a new ip.
And man, replaci...
Ugh, can they get over this game already? We were sold a full price beta, and 1 year later, they are still trying to squeeze money out of the hype. I bought the prompto DLC, just to see if they made any sense out of his big plot twist and... nope, they didn't. In the end, it was a mediocre game, with dull side quests, unfinished story, and awful camera. I wonder if they will eventually patch fixes to those. "FFXV DLC 26: story"
I dont know how this is even a discussion. You cant give a fair review of an RPGs Magic system If all you do is attack with your sword, heal and grind when things get tough. You cant give a fair review of the combat system in ninja Gaiden or bayonetta if you mash 1 button until everything is dead. You should, at least, be able to use all the tools the game offers effectively.
Yoko Taro gave Kamiya a great story, and Kamiya gave Yoko Taro great gameplay. Can't wait for a sequel.
" I definitely enjoy the art design of Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess much more because it offers much more depth and textures giving more life and character to the world." - Really? TP's world has more life and character than WW's? No...just...no.
"--ew, I just used the word epic" - This kind of statement doesnt belong on any objective review, and it only shows how you hate on the game even when you arent pointing out any flaws.
Titanfall looks amazing and if microsoft loses its exclusivity, it would be another huge blow for them. From a neutral standpoint, i find it hard to disagree that the PS4 is a better console. it doesnt have any of the BS microsoft is trying to push down our throats, its more powerful, not to mention its cheaper. If microsoft want to win next gen, they cant afford to lose quality exclusives like this one
its one thing to like this game but calling it a "TRUE FINAL FANTASY GAME" is a little too much. the main FF series has never been so far from its roots.
Yes i knew. But theres 1 thing this game wasnt until now. And that is a main entry in the series. This was supossed to be a spin-off so i didnt really mind the fact that it wasnt the game i was hoping for. FF has spin-offs across all sorts of genres, from strategy games to third person shooters. However with this game turning into FFXV, it means the new standard for the series is an action game.
@Outside_ofthe_Box
No its not. I couldnt care less about graphical beauty. XIII/XIII-2 were beatiful games... so what?
@shoddy and @aiBreeze
you guys are not alone. im sure there are quite a bit of fans like ourselves that can look past the pretty visials and realize this isnt a FF game
I cant speak for everyone that doesnt agree with you but looking past the awesome tech, Im not impressed by the gameplay. As an action game, it looks too repetitive. I want FF to return to its roots. I want strategic combat. I want full control over my party members.
couldnt agree more. yes the game looks gorgeous and its an awesome display of what the next gen can do. however i see absolutely no strategy in this footage and aparently theres no way to command the rest of the party while you are playing noctis. Now that this game is a main entry in the series im skeptical FF will walk the path of RE and abandon the genre it defined.
If you were a devil may cry fan you would easily find a truckload of reasons a veteran wouldnt like the game, even if you did.
Im still not sold on the game, but im not surprised with the good scores. At its core, its a good action game. However, as a devil may cry game, it has quite a few problems.
1) The lack of challenge - I think its safe to say that the original DMC and DMC3 are the fans favorites. Its no coincidence they are also the hardest. In any action game, the enemies you fight are as important as the moves you can perform. Tough enemies force you to stay sharp, and give you a sense of ac...
mrX? wrong RE bro
As much as I disliked many of the directions CAPCOM took with the franchise, I just cant support this review. Half hour of play doesnt give you nearly enough credit to write a "review". Who approved this?
My thoughts exactly. This should be standard by now, release on consoles, then PC some time later. No need to get nuts about it.
Yeah, thats me. Being a huge ff fan, I bought the day one edition, full retail price. Now I just feel robbed. Probably not buying even ff7 remake on launch, assuming that ever gets done
