A wave of idiots who will buy enough HD DVD units to make Sony drop their prices (which is what I am hoping for). People don't understand that the HD players form Blu-ray and HD DVD are made from similar components. The price difference between the two is not that much. The difference is that Blu-ray camp isn't feeling the pressure like the HD DVD camp is.
Bottom line is if you don't have studio support you won't win. Sony learn this lesson back in Betamax days. Toshiba made...
Do not buy Madden 2008 for any system you have period including PS2 or dual or triple console owners (owners of Sony consoles that have Nintendo, Microsoft, or both). EA is forgetting that PS2 owners are still in the majority and that Microsoft doesn't have enough Xbox 360 or Wii to compensate for all those PS2 that carried EA.
I noticed EA lack of quality games, starting with Madden 2006, and swore not to buy another EA product and guess what? - I haven't really missed not be...

Rot problem has been old for sometime. Limited amount of discs and I believe it all came from one Company.
Blu-ray disc scratch but will continue to play even with scratches on the disc. Still, much harder to scratch Blu-ray than HD-DVD and are more durable.
HD DVD based on DVD discs and DVD discs suck! Even more so, You can't even guess a good DVD from a bad DVD. I have this one DVD that looks almost brand new a couple Microscopic nicks and my Pirates (first ...
Shut the hell up HD DVD supporters and get out of the N4G game site. I am tire of the propaganda Sony's Blu-ray is no more or less propriety than Toshiba's. Yes Betamax didn't win but it was the Superior Format. This time Sony did the right thing and made sure it had wider studio support. Its still not enough to dominate out the door but it is enough to make it clearly the better choice for consumers. Don't like Sony. Fine? Plenty of Blu-ray manufactures to chose from.
Get a li...
Company doesn't care about Sony and the PS3 only making money on their hardware. Since "part" of the reason people buy the Wii is the Remote then it makes sense to sell a controller that serves the same function. By bring it to the xbox 360, PS3, and PC they don't alienate themselves to one system and the technology is probably cross platform anyway so developers can use the controller scheme for all their games.
Of course Third Parties will probably be the first to support...
This isn't a reflection on the PS3 but on Ubisoft.
Basically if Rainbow Six Vegas sucks on the PS3 this just means that Ubisoft sucks at making games on the PS3.
Just another fanboy feed article.
now if they can include the great gameplay with great field animation.
2K8 here I come.

This is a good site for front projector reviews as well as flat panel TVs.
I believe Epson has a better 1080p front projector than the above model and comes in at a cool $3000.
I believe is the best low cost 1080p front projector on the market right now and is the only HDMI 1.3 front projection (not that there is much use for it at this moment but does future pro...
The answer is simple.
Word of Mouth.
People are generally lazy when it comes to education especially Technology. You get one strong supporter of HD DVD and the several people get swept away rather than do the home work themselves. If people did the homework they would find that Blu-ray storage technology and HD DVD Technology offer no technological advances over the other. However Blu-ray has one advantage that HD DVD doesn't have that is more Hollywood mainst...
Both technologies can be created and used with no movie parts. Both are very durable technologies compared to CD/DVD/Blu-ray/HD DVD. Plus more information can be stored on these up and coming technologies per square inch than what we have now.
Don't knock companies for trying to stay ahead. Also Hollywood is considering the next big moneymaker for Theaters is 3D digital. Can you imagine the file sizes for that next generation. Heck, what if the Gaming Industry decides to code...
However, for people like me who like to game but Work, have a family, have friends don't mind short awesome games. Matter of fact, I wish there was more hardcore Short games to play that don't require hours to play. If I'm willing to buy a 2 hour movie for $20 and don't have a problem with paying $40 to $60 dollars for a game that last 15 to 20 hours. Even if the movie was $10 for 2 hours $60 dollars would only give me 12 hours of movie watching.
I say get a life and you won...
Technology is evolving to fast. In 5 years, CPUs and GPUs cheap enough for console use will completely blow away the consoles now. If Microsoft can convince the PC gaming industry to adopt some of the things that attract people to console gaming and add to that - $600 to $800 PC that will blow away anything the consoles dish out. There are always people/companies looking to dip their hands into the Money pot of Console gaming. If both Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo try to wait more than fiv...
Hitachi was supposedly releasing a combo blu-ray /HDD drive for PC/notebooks and some idiot on the net saw it as a 200 gb Blu-ray disc when in fact it was a 4x blu-ray combo with a 200 gb HDD.
I believe several tech sites including digg already blab about this over a week ago.
This story is too little too late
I believe the game was plan to run at 720p but probably getting polished to run at 1080p and at a decent frame rate. Remember this is probably will be the last of the MGS series why not make it an epic title. I also believe that by waiting a year gives Sony some time to integrate rumble back into the PS3 (and who knows what else - like home integration). I don't think MSG fans will be upset if they have to wait for an awesome experience.
RSX was custom tailored to work with the Cell. Since the SPEs can ease a lot of the GPU's workload it really doesn't need to be a massive and encompass everything. Instead, RSX is more efficient and has more of a focused job - basically outputing the graphics. AI, physics, mathematical calculations, blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc. are all pulled off by the SPEs. The RSX is still pretty much your typical Graphic Card just design to work with Cell efficiently.

Games based on movies tend to have this curse thing going. That said a MMO fighting game with a certain flair for the dramatic could be a fresh idea.....
I hope they can pull it off.
This was a demo. Devs from Epic have already said that Unreal will equal if not better GearsOW. Don't knock it til it is out. That said it will still be a great FPS. My thing is full keyboard/mouse support on the PS3.
Now if only it were out.....
I believe the new revision for EVDO Revision B has been approved and will see speeds comparable with 3G. Here is an little clip of an article from
CDMA Development Group:
"About 1xEV-DO Revision B
EV-DO Revision B is a CDMA2000 High Rate Packet Data Air Interface Specification that was developed by the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) standards development organization as an evolution to the International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT-2000) CD...
that can also surf and call people.... it is revolutionary.
Most of the review I have read say that it takes a few days to get use to but the keyboard is actually pretty nice.
The whole reason Apple put the Wifi in the phone is so people can have a better internet surfing experience. Email and SMS using the 2.5G service is fine. The menu system for the phone is totally cool and is one of the best for a phone. Apple and At&t said they will have Business sync ...
