holmyc where are you with your bs for this score?
would be great for pc...its to bad..
I've played the PC alpha beta and the PS3 beta so far. I consider myself a PS3 gamer and when I first signed into a game on the PS3 the first thing I said to myself was, "Man this looks like shit compared to the PC version I played." Take that as you will, but the console vs computer isn't even close in terms of looks at this point, obviously that is subject to change because these are betas.
I doubt there is anything wrong with your rig, GTA IV is just terrible on the computer. I had a previous computer that had a AMD Phenom x4 955 black edition with a AMD 5770 graphics card and I couldn't even get a consistent 20 FPS and that computer should have done a lot better than that. I haven't tried Metro out so I can't give you any ideas there, but I'm sure your computer is okay.
I have the exact same setup as you have but I haven't overclocked my cpu at all yet I'm able to run everything maxed out with this mod while consistently running 60 FPS with an occasional dip down to 45 FPS. I know GTA IV is poorly optimized for the computer so the difference in ability to run the game on same setups but different computer, doesn't surprise me at all.
For me personally, I'm sick of X-box always getting DLC for the games I like first, because by time the DLC comes for PS3 I'm already sick of playing the game. I'm talking about games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion. Thankfully, I just built myself a i5 Sandybridge pc, so now I'll be able to enjoy the developer content as well as custom content, while still getting to play the games I want on PS3 that don't offer the same experience or any experience at all on PC such as NHL 1...
You've got to be joking right? Madden has quite the following, with fans who love to be online to rank up immediately. You must be kidding if you think thousands of people don't go to midnight releases for Madden.
I'm sorry, I appreciate getting good exclusive games for the ps3, but I cannot justify spending $60 on a linear story game like Uncharted. I loved Uncharted 2, but unless you like the multiplayer, which I do not, then it is a renter game because it can be beaten within a few days. There is no replay value for me with the uncharted series to justify buying the game.
well NHL has be a pro mode which this coming year will be amazing, at least on paper. If EA's football and basketball developers would care for there product as much as NHL developers the EA sports titles could be a lot better than they are now.
is resident evil 4 a survival horror or action like 5?
I'm a little to skeptical to preorder. I bought the PX5's release day, but the constant crackling noise that I assume is produced from the 2.4 ghz that it uses, and I highly doubt these Sony's will be better than the PX5 so I think I'll pass and just stick with the px21's for now until a wireless headset comes along that is better than the px5's at the $200-$300 price range.
for me it was Socom 4. I was really stupid. I bought Killzone 3 just for the beta code, didn't like the game at all, when I found out PS+ were getting it first I bought a year of PS+, and I bought the game day one. I didn't like the beta but I hoped the game would be better upon release based on promises by Zipper. Well that didn't work out, so I traded it to best buy to get NCAA 12, Infamous 2 and Donkey Kong during there buy 2 get 1 free sale a few weeks ago. Socom is that game ...
Why can't they make a gta style transformers game. Transformers would be awesome as a sandbox imo.
Sounds good, I like the idea that it plays more like Fallout especially.
Business model failure? We are talking about Microsoft here, there business model has hardly failed.Use your brain.
I was kidding, I don't pirate games. I don't have a computer that can handle the game yet.
Good now I can pirate it with no problems.
It wouldn't surprise me if it was Rockstar's fault for these new issues at all. I remember Rockstar's first big release for the new consoles turned my $500 ps3 into a paperweight, I'm talking about you GTA IV. I got it replaced for free by Sony at least, but the game destroyed my blu-ray drive somehow.
Is this a sandbox game?
I'm with you. I'm not the type of person that doesn't buy something out of principle or for petty things; if I'm interested in the game I'll buy it. I want Battlefield 3, but I also don't want my computer games to span 8 different services. I'll go without until it comes to steam. If it doesn't come to steam within a month I'll just buy it for ps3 only.
