Be aware that you might have issues with the control center for the Z906. I had 2 sets go bad on me that were purchased from logitech.com for half off. I played music with heavy bass for about 2 days and then the control center stopped working on it and shut down the speakers every 5 seconds after being turned on, but a pretty nice system when it works.

I don't know, it depends if you are including the monitor, keyboard/mouse, and such in the purchase price. A great monitor is going to cost around $300 and a keyboard and good mouse combo is going to run about $80 so that right there cuts the components down to a $1020 budget. You can easily build a computer at that price point, but not one that is going to push 60 FPS on every game on the market at max settings like BF3 because GPU alone can take up half of that budget then when you toss...

Frankly I disagree. You have to pretty much be a complete technological moron to not be able to build your own computer. Pre-built machines like the ones you listed are a complete waste of money. The PSU's in those are probably big time crap as well as the motherboard and GPU. The case design leaves you with very little room to upgrade because in crowded cases like those with not a lot of ventilation you are going to have massive heat management issues. I mean in the long run those pre-bu...

I almost purchased a 360 for Fable 2 back when it was being hyped up. Burrowed a friends, rented the game, and thanked the lord I didn't waste the money to purchase a 360 for that game, then again I've made stupid purchased plenty of times for a game.

Bought a ps3 close to release because I thought Socom would be coming out soon on it, turns out that didn't happen.

Bought Killzone 3 a game I didn't like one bit because it came with an early ...

exactly what I did, also got Metro and Portal 2 for cheap. Not to shabby when you can get Half life Episode 1 and 2, Metro 2033, and Portal 2 for $16.

No because the normal deals last until the end of the sale (not sure what date), while the daily deals only last for the day, but Portal 2 would still be on sale at $15 until lets say December 31 when the sale ends.

That's not what it means. Most games are on sale right now for a certain small percentage, but a lot of the games will also eventually be part of the daily deal and they will have an even bigger percentage off, IE say you bought Portal 2 today for $15, which is half off or so, well it could be a daily deal tomorrow at $7.

seriously Pikajew? Everybody has there preferences, maybe he doesn't want to take the time to mess with learning the keyboard and mouse controls, which can be a daunting task at first.

Seriously this site is a little ridiculous at the labeling of fanboy. I'm a fan of PS3 only own 1 console, but the ps3 exclusives are hardly things I would consider buying a ps3 for. I bought a ps3 in 2007 for the socom franchise, but since then there really hasn't been anything that has been all that worth buying as far as exclusives go. As far as you list goes here is my opinion on the breakdown:

FPS: RES, KZ, MAG / Multi platforms are better
3PS: MGS, SOC, ...

I played a few of those, Heavy Rain was okay, not a system seller for me, MGS4 never played, Resistance all of them were awful, KZ 2/3 were both terrible as well, just my opinion.

UC2/3 and GOW3 were the only games out of those you listed that I played and all I own is a ps3. Everyone has there own tastes and I certainly wouldn't have bought a ps3 for either of those three games.

They successfully turned guys like me who played Socom 1-CA non stop into trading the game in within one month (not counting sonygate).

Just ask the Zipper Interactive what fans think about lying developers. I believe you can get socom 4 for like 19 bucks now.

No problems here, I always play with the xbox controller.

I dunno, I have the pc version and have yet to run into any troubles I haven't been getting booted to windows or anything yet.

I'm not talking about staring at the floor or anything I'm just talking about the look of things in your general area not necessarily focusing right in on textures just overall. If you think Skyrim looks good from a distance though, I don't know what to tell you, because that solid waterfall I'm looking at right now that isn't even a mile away sure doesn't look very good to me.

I'm not someone who will get caught up in textures and what not, but I...

Wow, I disagree big time. The difference between GTA graphics on my i5 2500k/GTX 580 computer system and my PS3 are night and day. The computer looks 100X's better; nowhere near as blurry and much more detailed. Those differences are hardly considered "slight". Not only that, you can turn up the view distance, detail distance, and traffic density which all add to the much better visuals of the CPU version.

As for what I think you were trying to get at, especial...

Thanks, I've been searching everywhere for input lag. The reason I want this is to double as my computer monitor (I have a gaming computer) and I like the size at 24 inches. I'm not much on 3d but I have to think that this monitor should be good, but I'm still afraid to buy it without knowing the input lag which is how many frames pass after you press a button on the controller before the motion is shown on the screen.

I know it's not a tv, I know it is a monitor, but your reply didn't really address anything I said with anything measurable. My Samsung 3d LED television has firmware updates, why can't this 3d monitor? Regardless input lag readings are very important to me, because I play a lot of NHL 12 on my current monitor Samsung PX2370 which is pretty darn good, so if this isn't any better or at least as good with input lag, the 3d and extra inch in size isn't going to make me want t...

Does anybody have any numbers on the input lag yet for this television? I mean that is pretty important information for a gaming TV and is the only thing holding me up on buying it.

edit: I also see from reading the article that there is no way for firmware updates to improve the television which to me is a HUGE turn-off.
