I hope they do decide to bring the NHL series back to PC, when NHL 13 rolls around I don't think I'll be able to take not playing it and I will likely buy a ps3 again just to play. On a side note can anybody tell me why the controllers for PC are always so "stiff"? I have a wired Xbox 360 controller for pc and the joysticks are so stiff, nothing like the ps3 controller was and the logitech controller I have is also like that. Anybody recommend any controller for computer tha...
get a better computer that can handle the games no problem. I know nothing about computers (programming, computer language, etc.) but even I was able to build a computer from scratch without any issues what-so-ever. No BSD's, nothing. The only problem I have is that I spend to much time looking at mods rather than playing.
Just in my opinion if you are spending a lot of time trouble shooting, then maybe you are doing things you probably shouldn't be doing with the am...
Of course now that I no longer own a ps3. I'd have to go out and buy one for this!
lol...this is a ridiculous comment considering your running the game maxed out with around $1350 worth of GPU's and then you have the audacity to say it has low demands. Actually to run it at a constant 60 FPS it has pretty hard core demands in cities and such if you are going to install hi res texture packs.
GTA, Mass Effect, and KoA are the only ones I'm really interested out of those. I'll pick up Max Payne and Darkness 2 down the line though when they are discounted heavily.
edit: never mind about darkness 2 I thought it was something else, watched a preview of it just now, it looks rather retarded imo.
I'm going to get it when it goes on sale during the steam summer or spring sale or something. Might be worth $60, but I'm not going to pay that right now when I still have games I need to play. I've had Saint's Row 3 since CPU release and still haven't played it yet on steam. Been sticking exclusively with Skyrim for now, but this game looks like it could be a lot of fun.
Well, we know that PC has had the patch for quite a few days now, and PS3 won't get it for a few days probably, so the 7 or so day process in my opinion is way to long. I don't need to know an approval process to see that CPU gets in February 1, and PS3 gets it say February 8, seem pretty clear that the approval process is a pain in the ass. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing the ps3, I loved my ps3 before I got rid of it, but the one thing I hated was the wait for patches an...
oh my god, tea bagging on a game is sooo awful. The decay to modern gaming is because people don't know how to have fun anymore. I remember back in Socom's glory days, it was common occurrence to teabag the hell out of your opponents. If I had a buddy on the other team you best believe if I killed him I'd stop to teabag him no matter where I was or if there was already a guy shooting at me on the other team. It's fun, funny, and a way to boast. It doesn't mean you are deca...
I agree, patches take way to long to hit the ps3. We've had a new "official" patch on pc for Skyrim for a few days now, who knows when ps3 is going to get there much needed patch. The system that needs it the most is getting it last, it really is quite unfair.
Personally I think that makes the game look ugly.
Well, they have really optimized the PC version big time with this latest patch. In places where I was getting 30-35 FPS, I'm now getting 55-60 FPS (this is on a high end machine). I think you guys should be excited for this update, especially on the PS3, because at least for PC, this update has really delivered big time.
Hated Fallout New: Vegas when compared to Fallout 3. I thought Fallout 3 was just much more awe inspiring compared to New Vegas. Sure there were better elements as far as perks and weapons go, but the setting of Fallout 3 was awe inspiring and really felt more like post apocalyptic times. New Vegas to me was a giant let down after Fallout 3 when it came to environment which for these games is the most important thing in my opinion.
I certainly hope the i5 2500k can last another year or two for gaming. i5 2500k is really the only intelligent option for a gamer currently as its gaming capabilities are pretty much the same as the i7. As for the 2011 cpu's i5 2500k is just as good for gaming as well. It's by far the wisest choice for pure gamers out there.
The rest of your computer must be pretty meh then. If you are going to get a GTX 570 for a PC build you should also pair that with a i5 2500k to get the best use out of your graphics card or I guess a $150 ish AMD processor. That alone your looking at either 450 with the i5/570 combo or 400 with the amd/570 combo. If you managed to spend only around 200 on the rest of your components then I'd say you made some bad purchases in my opinion in a lot of other areas considering you still have ...
Kinect for 249.99 or a 2nd gtx 570 since they are in a similar price range, hmm, I think I'll go with the 2nd GPU.
An okay build, but you really should look to up the budget some more and go with the i5 2500k and a motherboard. There are always deals where you can get a discount of like $50 if you buy an i5 2500k and a motherboard for that processor. Not only that, the PSU sucks, because if you do any upgrading like dual cards that PSU is no good any more. Spend a little extra and get a corsair 850 watt PSU. The case is fine, but I still like full size cases if you are going to do real gaming because it a...
You know, PC users would also like to get a hole of some of those exclusive. Not many, but a few like Little Big Planet, Infamous, Uncharted, and God of War. Also, while not an exclusive, I'd like EA to make the NHL series for computers again.
True and all, but I will say that playing PS3 on a monitor as opposed to an HDTV is quite beneficial. I have the Samsung 46" LED UND6400 television and a Samsung PX2370 monitor which I would consider high end for both monitor and television for there respective sizes and the Input lag on a monitor is so much less than an HDTV. Granted the HDTV has 3d, but for normal gaming I always used the monitor because of the input lag. There are obvious quality differences as the PX2370 has awful of...
While there are some games I am disappointed that don't get released on PC, PC still gets a shit ton of games, so much that I recently sold my PS3, because anything that interests me on PS3 also comes out on PC with the exception of the NHL series.
This display is literally $299 every single time I have ever gone into my local best buy, not worth it to me until it is $199 with 2 pairs of glasses. Motor Storm + glasses for $299 is still more than I would pay for that display.
