Why do you care if there is a Socom remake? It has no effect on you, yet you laugh at the thought of it. Why would it hurt to give players another third person shooter to play. God of War was remade, I doubt you opposed that, it seems that the people who appose a Socom 2 remake are only doing it for the sake of arguing with those who want it.
Well for one, the Beta is for the most part the game we are going to get, but if you listen to there latest podcast they are going to be trying to implement more of the classic features, such as pushing the camera back, grenade arc, dot on the crosshairs, etc.
I tend to think they are going to release a Socom 2 HD eventually, but they would be stupid to announce it until some time has passed after the release of Socom 4. Socom 2 HD would cut into the Socom 4 sales for sure, so I think they will let people buy that game and then announce and release Socom 2 sometime this year, maybe in the fall.
I consider myself a Socom vet and I can tell you that this game feels hardly anything like previous games. With that said, the game is a good one, and if it didn't have the Socom name it would be accepted better, unfortunately the game has some big standards to live up to the Socom name. This should have been a new IP because I just don't get that Socom feel from it.
If you played all of the Socoms regardless of how good you were, I'd call you a Socom vet. I'm not just talking about playing it for 100-200 hours, I'm talking playing those games for thousands of hours!
Same here I was dumb enough to buy Killzone for just the beta access, well that bit me in the rear.
In a 30 day month if you rented one game it would cost you $15 or you could use Gamefly and rent as many games as you want for a flat $15
Two games at that site used 15 days each would cost $18 and so fourth. A good deal for people who'd like to earn money on there games, but not a good deal to be one of the people renting.
Jesus will come just to punch you in the face for saying he is coming because of an earthquake along the pacific ring of fire.
because there is nothing wrong with her post. It's her opinion, her priorities are gaming over caring about someone she will never see in her life.
Hey lets see how many people can repeat each other!
I just finished it last night. Great game, with a crappy ending. Seriously that last level was easy compared to other parts in the game.
Why? We supported the Killzone developers just like you did. Just because we prefer Socom over Killzone doesn't mean we deserve anything. Is it funny how it has worked out? Absolutely. Do those people who support a developer deserve any screwing? Nope.
ahhh I feel like an idiot buying Killzone for the beta code now. I should have just purchased playstation plus...gdi.
Nice, still waiting for a GOTY edition for Red Dead, I never beat the game, nor did I play any of the downloadable content.
Edit: To the disagreements, I swear I didn't beat the game...
I'm going to be honest, with the shooters already out on the ps3 gears would just be redundant with the others. Killzone, call of duty, socom, battlefield, resistance, etc. I really just can't get any excitement out of the thought of another shooter. Gears of War just doesn't excite me, I mean does it really offer that much of a difference from the games listed above?
What do you guys think about the new Turtle Beach px5 coming out soon? I want a wireless headset bad, I currently have the px21. Do you think the px5 is worth the $250 price tag?
@rdgneoz3 Even if I liked Killzone I wouldn't have bought it to play single player. Nice troll job.
As for your flaws comment, maybe you need to learn how to fucking read. Where did I mention flaws what-so-ever? I said gimmick, not flaw. I'm sure people love that you can disguise yourself or go invisible, I don't, therefore I stated I didn't like the GIMMICK. Then if you would have gone on to read, I stated why I didn't like the gimmick, because I enjoy mo...
What makes you think there is even going to be a public beta? I didn't want to take the chance on missing out on the beta entirely, it had nothing to do with patience, or not having anything to do, so I really have no clue why you would even say something like that. And isn't game sales the thing every gamer is so concerned about now? Well Killzone got my game sale, even if it wasn't because I was that interested in their game.
I played it for a good 10-12 hours online before I sold it, I just didn't like the online style. The gimmicks aren't my style in online shooters, like the gimmick where you can disguise yourself, dying that way just gets on my nerves. I like more of a straight on style of play, like Socom offers, and to an extent Call of Duty. I will say I liked the online better than Call of Duty, the flaws however just really turned me off. Seriously though, why can't I customize my own weapon? ...
I'm one of the huge Socom 2 supporters, but with that said I'd love to have both. I actually really enjoy Socom 4, sure it may not have that feel that previous games gave, and I'm talking pure gameplay. The shooting system is nowhere near as challenging as it used to be especially in Socom 2 when it was definitely a challenge to be good at that game. But overall Socom 4 is the best shooter I've had a chance to play this generation, and it is definitely a day one purchase, but ...
