I had those batteries since they were released and never had a problem. Just like with any rechargeble batteries your not supposed to keep putting them on charge after you game. You need to drain them flat now and again.
I prefer the rechargeable batteries on my 360 to the controller to the built in one on my PS3, simply because if the battery does die I can replace it for $10 compared to buying a whol...
I have no desire for 3D. Your not gonna be able to play as long as you would without 3D and I have no desire to hurt my eyes over a period of time.
Let you guys be the guinea pigs first to see how long term 3d effects your eyes.
