During Xbox 360 days, it ran circle around the PS3. The PS3 was an ill conceived design by a guy that had let incredible success gone to his head and become a megalomaniac that wanted you to get a second job to buy his console. He called the Xbox 360 last generation, but in benchmark after benchmark, it was besting the PS3.
His motto must have been more for less.
Good job making it from old consoles are like old PCs to PS4 vs XB1. If you care about power and still want a consle, Xbox One X is the monster you need. There is no other more powerful console. It'sequivalent to a $1500 PC today. Basically a state of the art PC.
I wonder how people will feel it when the shoe is on the other foot, when MS gets tired of Sony shenanigans and starts paying to devalue your platform. I hope we don't end up there, but Sony is already super anti-consumer, and people keep cheering it on.

No, JPG is lossy compression, so you loose image quality period. If there is loss of information, there is loss of image quality period and that is what they are talking about.
So is MS, NIntendo and Valve. They are also consumer friendly unlike Sony.

You are right, and real gamers will also upgrade to Scorpio from XB1. The gap is just too big ahead of all the other consoles on the market to ignore.

I think what they meant is, MS isn't moneyhatting enough. Partnerships is when you allow EA Access instead of peddling your own inferior service, allow cross play and don't disallow mods, then change your mind and do a token minified version of it.
I can't wait until MS reveals cloud power. Most powerful console with cloud power is going to make Xbox One X an even bigger monster for $499.
