Jim Ryan of Sony did tell you the truth. He specifically said that it is a business decision, when the journalisted rolled his eyes, he twisted it into a safety issue. Oddly, if anything MS is the one that should be concerned, as PSN was the one that got hacked in one of the largest data breaches in history.

Kionic:
GT Sports is a game that was VR focused and therefore downgraded made by a studio that is past it's glory. Driveclub upgraded for PS4 Pro is probably even better than GT Sports at this point.
Also, the the no 4k assets is a given with the poor memory bandwidth and memory size of the PS4 Pro. Sony cheaped out on the PS4 Pro, and that is why it is like that. In the famous word of the father of playstation.
There is no other hardware for the same price or lower that can run games as well. That alone means great value.
It's a monster and will only get better with time!
The reason why people are not intrested in this game anymore, is because it was misleading. Last year the E3 footage of this gamne is completely different than this year. It's almost like two different games. Like wtf happened?
This is the foibles of announcing and showing games taht aren't ready. You wait for years, get teased every year, and the result is wildly different.

The PS4 Pro is heavily bottlenecked all over the place, not just the CPU. The machine was built to fit a price of $399, and even dropped UHD blu-ray drive.
If it wasn't so bottlenecked, other areas of the system could pick up the slack and give the CPU more time. That just isn't the case with PS4 Pro. It was always intended to be a modest upgrade over PS4 Slim, and use checkerboard rendering to fill the gap.

Phil Spencer is making sure that when VR is appearing on Xbox, it won't be shovelware like on other platforms. He doesn't want VR to fail, because companies are pushing sh1tty software in a bid to be first. So no lie, just your misinterpretation.

I'm sorry you can't enjoy your device because of the power of Xbox One X. The fear is very real for you, but the fear is all in your mind. However, the power in Xbox One X is real. Very real for everyone.
minecraft is the biggest game, but how many views dit it get?
I think that shows proof.
@naruga
Does it matter what the reason Sony has for preventing it?
I'm sure we can use our imagination and conjure reasons for why Nintendo, Xbox, PC and Valve should not, but we don't. We only do it for Sony. Well at least some of you fanboys are.
Nobody cares what happened last gen. Because Sony sold an overpriced console and told you to get a second job, and belittled their competitors doesn't mean they do it now (well they actually still do a little of that).
The fact that Sony is not doing it now, and Xbox/Nintendo is shows they are here #4thegamers. Sony isn't, but then you got all these corporate apologists coming out of the woodwork defending Sony. That is when you know who the fanboy is. Quite simply ...
Phil Spencer does say and do a lot of #4thegamer things, so it isn't a surprise we hear from him a lot.
lol. Confidence is what got Sony during PS3 and now they are at it again. Seems like Sony only has short term memory.
MS surpassed Sony in hardware design, and Phil Spencer returned Xbox to glory. I expect a lot of salt going forward. I find you can't win join em. Join Xbox, because there is no power greater than X!
I wonder what he isn't going to say about GT Sports. That game has been severely downgraded for VR.
There is just too much salt in here. I need something sweet, so I'm going to go check out the latest Forza 7 video!
Why support horribly unethical companies when there are great alternative games?
Yup!
Also, I play a lot more than just exclusives. In fact, in general I play far more multiplatform games so what I'm looking for is a good slate of variety too. Xbox is definitely bringing that this year, so it's nice. Especially if many of these games are all true 4K with 4k ready textures.
I think Spiderman looks more fun, but it just didn't show well.
Both apparently!
No, there were definitely developers that spoke out against MS and lack of crossplay so it happened. But that happened then, this is now. We don't complain about how PSN is hacked back then, or how PS3 was way overpriced and Sony told us to get a second job. It was a different management then.
We deal with the now, and the now is that Sony is anti-consumer. Nintendo is cool. Xbox is cool, PC is cool, iOS is cool and Android is cool. Sony is not!
