How else would you get the opportunity to sh*tpost?

@Aenea:

Saying this doesn't inspire confidence:

"they aren't ALL tech demos (most aren't), sure they aren't 50+ hour AAA games either but that's not the point "

Also, Scorpio will be the most powerful console every built. In fact, it sounds like it is the only console every built with performance in mind first and foremost. It's a monster and the most powerful console ever!!! XD

If gamers migrate to PC, they use Windows 10 and buy content in the Windows Store. When PC gamers are looking for a console, they migrate to Xbox, because they already have an existing library of games on the platform, l and may already have friends on XBL. The tight integration between PC and Xbox also helps the decision!..

Does that make more sense?

Good ol moving the goal post so it is never good enough. Hopefully n4g readers start noticing the same people make new accounts to specifically direct their agenda.

If PS5 released in 2019, it would be completely underwhelming "next generation" console. Since Sony still thinks in generations and therefore their user base will have next generation expectations.

I think 2020 at the earliest, and MS will then release Scorpio 2 at the same time or shortly thereafter.

@Septic:

That may or may not be true, especially in the next few years. PC is notorious for being inefficient, so there is a chance you will spend lots of more money to eek out a little bit better than Scorpio. Scorpio is designed for performance and native 4K from the ground up.

Forget last gen.Who is winning this gen?

Don't believe it, well here is further proof why power matters!

@ziggurcat

Doesn't mean they are hiring the best they can or if they are good. Could even be a marketing stunt.

@the 10th rider

To be fair, someone qualified of minority's gender/race tends to be exceptional to get to where they are, because it often is harder for them as they fac more challenges. What we don't want is when the pendulum swings too far in any direction.

@uptown:

That is easy, if Sony releases PS5 in 2020, MS releases Scorpio 2 in 2021. The pattern is already set!

What amazes me is how much effort MS put into designing Scorpio. It makes PS4 Pro look almost lazy and low effort by Sony. So I'm glad for the competition.

Well, MS did pass on Rime so they should have a beef with MS too. Turns out, Tequila Works instead speaks positive about MS and praises them. I'd say that carries a lot of weight if anything.

The fact that Rime devs then came back after being denied and speaks positive about MS shows the sincerity of the statement.

You are right, it's not just 43% compute advantage, it is a lot more. That is why Scorpio can hit 4K/60fps on Ultra and still have headroom. Scorpio is significantly more powerful than PS4 Pro.

The RAM bandwidth is hitting peak performance of ultra high performing GPUs of PCs, so no there is no bottleneck there either. This is why Scorpio will be able to push 4K ready textures, and PS4 Pro can't.

Cleary BC isn't guaranteed since Sony had to limit PS4 Pro's power to ensure compatibility in hardware. In boost mode, some games don't work right and performance increases, these problems will get worse.

That is why MS is manually testing every game and tweaking them as need on Scorpio!

drizzom:

This problem has existed for a much longer time than that, but thanks for responding to me. ;)

We do. From that we got Titanfall (which Sony passed on, because they didn't have the cloud power), then we got Forza with Driveatar, and finally in what is going to culminate in Crackdown 3.

The cloud is real! It's coming, and you better put on your seat belt, because it is going to be one hell of a ride out of hell to heaven!

@GTR:

Do not be afraid my child. The games will come E3. First best platform features, then best hardware and finally the games. See you at E3!

@foxtrot:

That was like a decade ago. People still salty and bitter about that?

I would at the very least expect people that was around that time to have grown out of brand loyalty by now.

3299d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

You got this all wrong. It's not MS that has changed, but your view of them. MS have been like this for years now!

jc95:

A 2019 console, will look like another PS4 Pro. I don't think anyone wants that. Move it to 2020, and it may look more like a Scorpio, but that is only in comparison to PS4 Pro. It will be like a PS4 Pro like upgrade over Scorpio.

So my bet is 2021. Total smackdown between MS/Sony. It's going to be epic. Oh, and that is when MS original vision for Xbox comes alive. No more discs.

@morgan:

I don't think it is MS that is desperate, but some fanatics that are extremely salty and desperate. The heat is intensifying. Why would you be so scared? Why do you feel backed into a corner?

I know E3 is around the corner, and I know for many it is a time of sadness, but if you are a true gamer you will welcome all news from all platforms. Rejoice!

Looking back, when the Xbox One got beaten, it was the most amazing thing ...

I don't know why n4g users consistently allow sh*t articles/news to filter through.
