...but having said that, I still think that the majority of the announcements will be PS3-oriented.
I also think that GC 08 will focus more on games and non-game services, rather than hardware packs. I'm expecting to see some new IP announced from some currently established PS3 developers.
Whatever happens, it's going to be interesting...
...you bet! That bad boy looks awesome in the videos I've seen...
Out of all the games in this article, Mirror's Edge is the one I'm looking forward to the most.
Although I am being swayed by the explosions in Mercenaries 2 almost every day! :-)
The logos at the bottom of the sleeve aren't equally distant from each other.
The sleeve insert doesn't even reach the edge of the box.
The only question here, my friends, is this; inkjet, or colour laser?
Hey - there's nothing wrong with certain blogs posting the news, such as PS3 Fanboy, ThreeSpeech and (dare we say) PS3 Attitude, but it's true a lot of blogs don't do their homework.
In any case, we spoke to Havok, and here's the quote - http://www.n4g.com/News-180...
Speculation indeed...
Actual quote from Havok over here - http://www.n4g.com/News-180...
...but regardless, we just spoke with David (we know Havok after having featured the first videos of their Cloth and Destruction modules last year) and that quote is genuine.
Most people at N4G know PS3 Attitude - do a search for us and check out the long list of factual news we report daily.
Sev isn't involved with PS3 Attitude, but someone at his site was good enough to write a news piece about our new direction earlier today to help spread the word.
...very much appreciated. Thanks for featuring the story on D+PAD too...
...we really appreciate your support and comments. We're in this for the long-haul, and hope to raise thousands over the next few years with everyone's continued support.
In fact here's the comment I put up at the source website (in case they never publish it):
"What a ridiculous premise.
So, if we all lived by the rules set down by Somchai Jaroen-amnuaysuk we would produce no books, no movies, no games, no music, no art. Nothing.
Why would we produce any fictional or artistic output when there is a real fear of being prosecuted?
When are people going to stop blaming the games (like they did with books,...
...it looks even better in the flesh (much more polished that the first MS title) and this is on a beta that's only 70% complete.
Sorry it's on a shaky-cam though, but you can still see the quality of the game...
...for the common sense.
We actually put this article together specifically because some of our new readers, who had only just bought their PS3s, were asking us what they should shell out on initially.
As you probably know, PS3 Attitude is a daily PS3 news site that publishes news, reviews and interviews. We have a number of regular articles (the Big Three etc.).
When putting this one together, we thought we'd make the presentation snazzier by creating a widget. This can be shared so you can put it on your blog/site/online profile.
As with our Big Thre and other posts, the option to buy the game is included. We don't pocket the money - it goes to charity. This year...
Thanks again for your comment...
We've added an extra paragraph ensuring people know about the charity - hope that helps.
Cheers...
...we did it in the form of a shareable widget so that people could add it to their online profiles/blogs/websites. It also seemed like a snazzier way to present the list.
It seemed fair to have a 'click to order' button, just as we do when we run the Big Three article each month or when we write reviews. All profits from the site go to charity anyway - such as our big Jump 2008 event for GamesAid - so I would hope no-one would mind too much...
Thanks.
They're all really appreciated.
Keep an eye out for lots of announcements next week as we celebrate one year of daily PS3 news...
...much appreciated.
...and it's been a pleasure getting to know you and people like you over the first year.
Errrr... nothing!
Neither MS or Nintendo are there, leaving the floor open entirely to Sony to wow the crowds.
