I think you're on the money there mate...
In fact, we should start a sweepstake on how long it will be before someone posts a YouTube video of the latest next-gen Lara Croft crawling backwards on all fours, since that's what sad 13-year-old boys used to do in the previous games...
I think that when you get quality free DLC like what Criterion have produced for Burnout, it really shows how a game can stay in the console for a whole year and still not get tired.
But what was that all about recently when they started selling things in NFS and SCIV that you can unlock by playing the game anyway? Money and old rope springs to mind...
...but I suspect they'll have some giveaway schwag on the day too.
And from what we've seen at PS3 Attitude, the game isn't half bad either. There's certainly a gap for a title like this in the absence of SSX...
No worries mate.
I've changed the title slightly to remove any ambiguity. It's just a shame that a lot of people have jumped on the 'report' bandwagon whilst they clearly didn't actually read the piece, or notice that it was submitted as an 'article' and not 'news'.
Oh well! This has only happened twice out of the hundreds of stories we've had published at PS3 Attitude, so it's no big deal.
Thanks again for your feedback in any case - it helped me change...

I do. Virgin in the UK already offer up to 20Mb download speeds and we think that with new technology on the way, and the ridiculously cheap storage prices that are coming through already, 2010 could see the beginning of proper DD adoption.
@ 1.1
It's not a PS3-bashing piece. We're a PS3 site, for goodness sake. We're just summising what might happen to the 'exclusive' in the future if DD becomes a reality. We also state that by then the PS3 may be...
The beta is brilliant - absolutely lovin' it.
Thanks for the comment. You never know, the PS3 Attitude Podcast might become a regular feature!
...I've found the Dead Space site to be a little confusing so far, and it hasn't always worked in my browser either.
Thank goodness the game looks so good!
I think each title has its own place in the market. Pure reminds me of those old PC Motorcross Madness games I used to play, and Fuel promises much in terms of 'open world' driving.
I remember Car & Driver back in 1992 offered Fuel's brand of 'drive where you like' experience, but the technology never really delivered on the promise. Now that the PS3 is around, who knows what Asobo and Codemasters will manage...
Motorstorm still rocks my world, and MSPR can do n...
We've had a few guesses - swing by and leave us your ideas... http://www.ps3attitude.com/...
This game is looking more and more interesting every time I read something about it... can't wait to see some footage of it in action.
What a brilliant piece of design. Someone should make this in real life; it would revolutionise cruise holidays. Forget that; I'd want to just live on this thing, not take a short break...
Outstanding!
Have always loved them, although I must admit their last album was getting a little 'repetitive'.
Just the sound of them alone makes me smile, so combined with Sackboy I'll probably end up with a permanent Joker-like grin.
I fancy having a go at the record for completing MGS4 whilst hopping on one leg...
What about you?
I realised about 30 minutes after it was approved...
Should have used 'slashes' or something to seperate the bullet points more! :-)
You forgive me though, right?
MS did have a lot of DLC, but you're forgetting much of it was free - especially to begin with. I see no problems with publishers giving out DLC across a whole year after release, including stuff you have to pay for.
After all, look what it's done for Burnout Paradise.
It's not about having a 'room' in Home, although a lot of people will enjoy that anyway... Home Compatibility is about being able to launch a multi-player game direct from Home.
And what Nigel said is compatibility with this feature of Home isn't going to be in the original shipment - I don't know for sure but I expect it will follow in a patch around Christmas-time or early 2009.
...although MCV are now reporting that the 160Gb is now a 'limited edition' rather than a full-blown SKU.
“The 160GB is a limited edition that we’re doing to see how it goes in all the territories,” SCEE president David Reeves told MCV. “If you look at the reaction on MCV’s website, people are responding to the news by saying ‘I want a 500GB PS3’, but other people are saying ‘I haven’t filled up any of my hard drive’.”
Mind you, the HDD is so stupidly easy to switch ...
The article doesn't say LBP won't come as a bundle.
Certainly, the latest EU bundles are not coming to the UK - that's for sure. But SCEE surely must do an LBP hard bundle regardless as it will be close to Christmas, mustn't they??
We need more reasons to use the PS Eye.
LBP will bring some functionality, but in terms of games there hasn't been enough support for the Eye yet. With EyePet at least a year away, this will be welcome (as long as it's good!)
I do hear that Thor's hammer is a pretty good thing to have hanging around for dealing with Ikea flat-packs.
Is that true?
