This review is probably more to do with not getting enough advertising revenue than the game itself. There's a lot of stuff in magazines that only gets printed because of the money that moves around.
When R&C is getting 9 and 10 out of 10 almost everywhere, getting a 6 just shows that magazine or website up as foolish.
This is also why we don't do 'reviews' or give scores at PS3 Attitude - we'd prefer to say how we felt about a game when we played it and let ...
...and didn't notice any framerate issues in split-screen mode. In fact, you can read all about the experience here and at PS3 Attitude - "Haze not 'gold' but still glitters". Not sure if the machine IGN played on had the exact same settings. You would assume so, but there could have been all sorts of differences in the PS3 setup, as they had four machines there.
Which is why I didn't post our version of the same story - out of respect for the original material. Should have been added as an additional source only.
Bury this please NewsBots...
...it was planned to hit US stores on November 19th. This might be a struggle now, but we'll see - I expect it'll still hit before Christmas and maybe by the end of November. In fact, I'll go for the 30th right now and worldwide to boot...
Here's the deal.
Ubi has a FISCAL year from April 1st to March 31st each year.
In the actual document 360Gamer are talking about, it says the following:
Third-quarter 2007-08 sales has a high-quality line-up for the third quarter, including the following
• The new highly-anticipated brands, Assassin's Creed™ and Haze™.
They then go on to explain that only three new titles (including AC and Haze) will be launched in this FISCAL...
As has been mentioned above, and I'll back it up with some extras:
1. Assassin's Creed has gone gold and is in production

2. Haze has gone gold and is in production (PS3 exclusive)

'Nuff said...
Is the Update on the R&C disk itself (which is only available at the moment in the US, so the UK won't see this until November @43) or does it downlaod from the PSN *because* you put the R&C disk in??
...that whilst I'll be in Nottingham, I've just heard that Jade Raymond will be at London's HMV in Oxford Street on Saturday. Another stalking opportunity missed...
But you do get EA at Trafalgar Square showing off their wares, plus other developers/publishers are doing demos too...
PS3 Attitude will be in Nottingham covering this and all the other key stuff at GameCity - can't wait (especially Takahashi's keynote speech on Saturday...)
...that's what it takes to be number one!! :-)
After all, not only is it in the Top 10 most anticipated at Gamespot etc. but since it comes with the PS Eye it's going to be more popular than you would think.
EyeCreate, Trials of Topoq etc. all follow within a week on the PS Store to further expand the Eye's software. I would bet on The Eye of Judgement doing quite well...
...fix the issue of where you get the cards.
Importing would just get you the game - you've still got to find stockists for the cards.
Sony have announced new pricing in Canada that makes them the ONLY of the three big console makers to acknowledge the change in the exchange rate.
So I can't approve this story - the author clearly hasn't done their homework and is looking to pick a fight with the wrong vendor. MS and Nintendo still price their consoles unfairly in Canada despite the weak Dollar.

UK sales up 178% since the reduced 60Gb and the new 40Gb were launched.
If this is a blueprint for the rest of the world, then the PS3 is on the up.
By the way, the PS3 'units sold' at this point in it's life are still almost exactly what the Xbox 360 sold at the same point, so if the PS3 is a 'failure', surely so is the 360... ;-)
I'm one of those UK early adopters mentioned in the story, and I don't feel cheated.
I have memory card slots, extra USB ports, 20Gb extra HD space and PS2 backwards compatibility. Thanks to firmware upgrades since March, my PS2 games upscale and look better than ever before.
All of these things will be lost to 40Gb PS3 owners, so I'm happy to have paid a premium.
...wasn't delivered to Sony ages ago - the rumours were wrong.
EA delivered it to Sony last week and with the Tony Hawk Proving Ground demo up, they're keen for it to go on soon. Expect to see it on the US store very soon (i.e. today or next Thursday). Don't expect to see it on the Euro store soon though - just get it from the US store instead.
The UK doesn't get anything like the updates that the US receives, but then again since everything on the US store plays just as well in the UK it just means having more than one user on the PS3 - one for the US store, one for Japan and one for Oz...
Bit of a pain really, and I wish they'd sort out the global content issue, but SCEE know it's a problem and have acknowledged that they're working on a solution.
In fact, LocoRoco Cocoreccho is actually cheaper in the UK than on the Japanese PS Store, so for once we actually get a good deal.
I'd actually pay good money (well, £1.99 at least) for a photo-realistic nose picking game. It's a much underused genre in my opinion.
